This is the comment I'm offended by, not your opinion on the city of Detroit beyond that
That statement is absolutely true. Its called slave mentality and it affects black people all over the world, particularly those that have been victims of colonization/slavery

Everywhere...You never there.
Then when it came to creating economic consortiums, black groups were either out bid or totally frozen out from the process. A private owner doesn't have to sell to ANYONE they don't want to. So basically shut the fukk up when you don't have any information AND didn't read the topic...

:rudy:

So the white private owners turned downed good money because it was coming from black investors?
Fukked up man. :smh:

So the city didn't/hasn't imposed any sort of fines on those white owners with overrun properties with dilapidated houses on them? You'd think that would start to add up with them holding on to it that long and not selling.

Money by itself doesn't always open doors as soon as you expect it and on the level in which you expect it.

Oh, and that ad in OP looks :merchant:

Where y'all wealthy negroes at? :damn:

As someone that has lived in Detroit for 4 years, sadly i too feel Detroit needs more white people. Detroit shows that there are black folk that just don't know how to act when no being controlled by white folk. Severe dysfunction from the street level to the highest levels of city government. Furthermore, the state governent is racist as fukk so its a interesting dynamic to say the least. After living through the Kwame Kilpatrick situation i can never wish that type of dysfunction on anyone else.

I'm in Houston now thank God.

Who put a low quality posting tag on this? Where does such power come from? :krs:

I'll do anything for that power. :feedme:

Exactly. People are acting like Black folks are just not buying land out of apathy.

Black farmers in Detroit are growing their own food. But they're having trouble owning the land.

NICE article. There are gems dropped left and right in that thing.

I used to think that Black doctors, lawyers, scientists were the biggest need....but recently I've been willing to put farmers way up there.

there has BEEN a push to help black farmers. I wish some these wealthy negroes would really read more and start to think...really think with their investments. So many substance filled areas of need that could benefit from their support.

Stop it. Plenty of detroiters loved and supported Kwame despite his bullshyt.

And plenty of people love Trump despite his platform being totally against their best interests. Uniformed people tend to do that.
My only point was that Kwame wasn't the only cause...if anything he was a culmination of many years of divestment, shady politics, political isolationism (from the state) and blind loyalty. People liking Kwame, and even voting for Kwame wasn't going to stop DECADES of decline and municipal racism.

You wanna call tech on people who aren't from Detroit commenting on it? And yet you've only lived there 4 years. I grew up in Detroit and continue to try and make it a better place....so you can get all the way the fukk outa here with that "less than 5 years of experience" if you gonna play that card, breh :camby:

1. Yes, they did many times. Land is power and always will be its a limited resource.
2. The city can't enforce laws when it doesn't even have money to keep the lights on...again this is because of decades of population decline and divestment.
3. The wealthy Negros took they ass out to Oakland county. On one hand I get it, but on the other I can't help but look at them with disdain. There were A LOT of people who chose to move to Oakland county or out of the state entirely when they could have been the ones making business/real estate consortium to retain control of the city.

Really curious to see how things turn out up there. We're talking about a historic...historic U.S. Metro here...

In 2009 I warned you that black cities were being targeted for takeover. Many scoffed. Now that the state of Michigan has used a "law" to totally nullify the black vote, using measures FAR more aggressive than even I had predicted, and the Supreme Court has reinstated Jim Crow for blacks nationwide, perhaps everyone understands what I meant when I said we are ALL Detroiters.
