Aside from his final year in 2008, does it surprise anyone else just how little he was paid? Especially when you factor the length of time he was there, he won King of the Ring, had high profile feuds with the likes of Undertaker, Diesel (they were the main event at SummerSlam 95), and even in his later years always seem to be involved in a story line.

Not trying to say that he was some major draw or anything, but certainly expected him to earn more money that over 8 years (maybe around the $250-500k range per year).

When you consider these guys are responsible for all of their travel expenses minus airfare, he would be lucky to break even probably six out of eight of those years. It's just crazy to think how famous some of these guys are, but just how little they got paid (and probably still do).

I wonder how much their yearly travel costs are...they get 1099's so they get to deduct travel costs

Jeff Jarrett made more in one night than Big Vis... Smh

''Jeff Jarrett demanded and received a one-night payoff in the region of $175,000 from Vince to drop the WWF IC title as scheduled to Joanie 'Chyna' Laurer at No Mercy on October 17, 1999.''

WWE pays for flights for their talent but they’re on their own for other travel expenses.

Ryback said his yearly expenses was 150k... Seems kinda inflated tho.

I mean I doubt he would continue to wrestle if he wasn't seeing any actual cash flow

yea 150k is definitely on the high end. like only staying at 5 star hotels every night and flying first class :pachaha:

from most accounts over the years it seems the average travel cost is north of 50k, but less than 80k.

also as far as the 1099 goes, just because they can claim travel cost doesn't mean they still didn't pay for it. all that means is they will get a tiny break in taxes at the end of the day.

example: wrestler makes 200k and claims 60k in expenses = wrestler pays 36% in taxes instead of 38%
