So many forced matches for mania… HHH fukking sucks without the Rock…

I didn't expect this thread to be so critical. To me, it's not the worst build ever. It's probably been middle of the pack. There's been some actual terrible Mania builds in the past.

I think Gunther/Jey, Jade/Naomi, Rollins/Punk/Roman and Cody/Cena have all been pretty good builds. I'd have liked to see more of Cena on TV (and obviously The Rock as well) but their last segment was really good. I also think the "favor" stuff is a bit goofy for the triple threat but the build itself has been good.

There's other match ups that do not have good builds but could produce really good matches like Bianca/Rhea/Iyo for example

I would not be surprised if neither Cody or Cena walks out with the strap by the time Mania is over.

Rock being back and forth about committing to WrestleMania is why the buildup is the way it is. I guarantee you he was in the original plans, he backed out late last year, they started booking the show without him, then something happened before the Rumble or after it because that's when the storylines shifted.

It's not been terrible, just underwhelming, and is coming at a time when WWEs been hot and had 2 very good Mania builds in a row.
