Even during WWEs bad years the Wrestlemanias still had a magic that thos year didn't. But then 39 and 40 were HHH Wrestlemanias and were great so who knows.

This show it felt like they were trying to sell everything but the allure of WrestleMania, idk it was just off

Even if you ignore the lack of Rock

it was just a boring match in general. I know Cena has to work differently being a heel but shyt you don't have to work in slow motion. Show some damn aggression work dirtier, more than a damn eye poke

Cena did everything he was supposed to do as a heel. He wrestled a match that didn't crowd please and didn't fulfill the fans at all. Despite this, he still got cheered over Cody.

Like Cena said... he isn't giving the fans a damn thing. Fans aren't supposed to be happy when the heel wins, even if it's a historic win. However, in today's day and age, the best way to get face pops is to turn fukkin' heel.

Then why show your ass up at Badd Blood and Elimination Chamber interjecting yourself into storylines :comeon:

Because he can.

But yea this Mania didn’t need to be 2 nights at all, I know they’ll never go back to 1 night but, they gotta do better at 42

A one night card with:

Seth/Roman/Punk
Women’s triple threat
LA/Fatu
AJ/Paul
Naomi/Jade
Cody/Cena
Jey/Gunther
IC match

Would have flowed much better.

Instead Night 1 was ass until the end and Night 2 was fire until the end

You’re telling me Rock couldn’t take a fukking jet and show up

It's a lot more likely that he chose not to. Supposedly he really wanted Cody to turn for real and HHH pushed for it not to happen, and Cody refused. It sounds believable. And not participating is his way of saying fukk you, I know what's best.

Reminds me of when Hogan turned heel, as he's walking to the ring that goofball Bobby Heenan is screaming, "yeah but which side is he on?!" and gave it away.

I hate when people say that Heenan ruined the moment when he actually enhanced it.

Bobby Heenan always hated Hogan. Always called him a bad guy. Eye pokes, back rakes, turning on his friends, cheating. And at this point the audience was trained that Hogan was the hero coming to help and Heenan was just a crazy hater.

Dusty and Tony were both like “dude, wtf are you talking about…… He coming to help WCW. Like what else would Hulk Hogan do?”

And Bobby was like “this grimy, grifty dirtbag is capable of all kinds of bullshyt that you’ve seen with your own eyes, you marks”
