coolio was HUGE from '94-97 breh. he was the marquee safe go-to name of the entire mid-90s.

nobody cared about prodigy's solo career but mobb deep fans of the '90s.

True, Coolio had much more than just a single, he had great success and some excellent work. Biggie was a fan of the Mama I'm In Love With A Gangsta song, and Too Hot too actually.

difference is, coolio had an actual run as a solo artist.

I'm counting all work, that's just the way I have to personally do it to make it honest. So I'd include Prodigy's parts with the Mobb albums, but I understand there's some history there lol, but I wasn't involved in that really so will just vote the way I feel comfortable with.

Clearly he deserves a spot. Obviously he isn't going to win, but he will probably make it to the final matchup.

i can think of at least 10-20 rappers that didnt even get in as wildcards yet that have a better resume than what he posted.

lets be reality. if prodigy was just some solo rapper, would yall be pushing for him to be in this tournament?

and yes, prodigy actually can win. cuz most people are gonna base their votes off of stuff like infamous & hell on earth.

Even if Mobb was included Prodigy as no chance of winning, literally zero chance. He wouldn't beat a 2 Pac for instance on here...

theres still alot of guys i have ahead of him anyway. layzie bone is my favorite rapper, and hes pretty much on the same plane as prodigy solo-wise. YET, hes nowhere near getting a wildcard right about now either.

young turk being in my avi might be the only action he'll see in this tournament since his prime years were squandered, but hey, it is what it is.

You are probably right with the bolded. Personally I don't mind who's not included because you can't include everyone, but I wouldn't have been surprised at all if P was included, what would be really cool 1 day is an underground 1, that could be a lot of fun and educational too, I include myself in those it would be educational for, am sure nearly everyone would learn something and would be less predictable. What you think?. I said already how I'm judging but I have to say solo wise P didn't make a HUGE mark on me, don't get me wrong, some dope shyt but not elite really if it was just solo's.

an underground tournament sounds dope but it would flop.

that NIT tournament was the benchmark. it didnt do so well, and everybody in there had well-known success.
