you do realize that pac is somewhere in the top 1 thru 3 range on my goat list right?:comeon:

just because I don't gas up his every move, it doesn't mean that I'm hating. its not even possible for pac hate to come from me.

and yes, theres a big push for pac to be considered the best rapper EVERYDAY. and its been like that for 20 years nonstop.
By whom?

1. It's enough people on here where you're gonna hear damn near anything and everything be called a classic. Folks stan different stuff. Almost every artist has his die hard fans, so there's gonna be a lot of "personal classics" thrown around and folks disregarding opinions because of certain artists not being liked or held in high enough regard.

2. Pacs first two albums really are average with some great singles. But that's just my opinion. Hell, I call Thug Life vol. 1 a personal classic but I just droned through Pac's first 2 actual albums.

This is EXACTLY what I'm saying. No way SFMN'z isn't classic. Cats just wasn't ready for the sound yet. He was TOO militant at this point and cats were smoking weed listening to g-funk. Other than the singles it went over a LOT of people heads :manny: Pac was smart enough to realize this so he switched up on MATW and got at the females, who he knew he had a base with, and made the production a lot more accessible. But LYRICALLY both his first 2 albums were classics.

Generalize every hip hop fan as weed head casuals unfamiliar with the struggle to prove your point brehs :skip:

I dont think he's perfect either but i think nikkas (even you) take exception to the godlike props that the people organically gave to him and turn around and judge him harsher than others

Thug Life vol 1 is when Pac hit his stride

I never claimed to be an elitist. that's a tag that yall put on me, and I gladly accept it. thanks.
and clearly, youre the person in this scenario with too much time on your hands. just look at our exchanges on the previous two pages, if you need further proof.:mjlol:

half of those songs you listed are not "renowned" classics.

I think pac is arguably the goat but he was never a top notch lyricist at any point ever. PLEASE STOP THE STANNING.
I'm posting while sitting at my desk doing nothing getting paid for it :manny: I'm not a stan...hell YOU brought Pac into the initial conversation but you too slow to remember that. Point still stands you made, as always, a very stupid statement for someone whom claims to know a lot about the culture.

I don't think Pac needs a push. He works speaks for itself...example...my daughter and her 12 year old brother were over my house last week and I happened to peep what he was doing on his Tablet and he was listening to Pac tracks reading articles about him. How many other artists from that era is STILL getting NEW fans. :dahell:
Hell Jayz has to try to reinvent himself every few years and jump and bandwagons to get new fans :pachaha:
Nas doesn't even really care about new fans :mjcry: but Pac is being studied like a Lennon, Hendrix etc...he doesn't NEED to be stanned.

you must have one of those 24 hour desk jobs then.

I never denied bringing pac into the conversation.

you think those kids would be sitting around listening to 2pac records without the super-push that he gets?
the only way they would do that on their own is if theyre legitimately into rap history like that. BUT if they were, you wouldn't be bringing it up like its a big deal, so

lol @ you having kids. I didn't know I was a granddaddy already.
