Wade's thought process is the obvious reason why no one is going to pass Jordan under general consensus; people who grew up on Jordan will never allow the thought to even creep in their mind that someone may one day be better.

It not a thought process that fails to surpass Jordan. When you get in the game and it is your turn to dominate, then you don't look back. That is what Jordan did when it came to winning. Wade sees it for what it is, so he is not going to discount greatness even if his boy is Lebron.

LBJ already better than Jordan, I don't think he can catch up with Wilt though, thats the true mountaintop right there.

Name me 1 ATG team in its prime that Jordan led his team to beat?
LeBron beat prime Spurs/Timmy D and then the "greatest team of all time" 73 - 9 Spurs, coming from 3-1 deficit.
Bron beat a prime Tim Duncan? :wtf:
Obviously a team aint the greatest of all-time if they didn't win the championship. OKC should have beat them, and they lost like 10 times in the playoffs

He's right, thing is MJ is just at a whole other level. I mean how many GOAT level players went to 6 Finals in a decade and never lost? All the other modern HOF leaders that COULD be in the discussion (Bron, Magic, Bird, Kobe, Shaq...) lost a least one Finals. That's even before getting to the other stuff (having to go to anoher team to win, 2011 Finals, flopping, style of play, etc...).

Here's the problem with this argument. Why do we give MJ credit for going to Finals and never losing but getting knocked out early in his career while bringing up Lebron's 3-3 Finals Record as if he didn't bring teams that wouldn't have been playoff teams without him there? What MJ did in the Finals was unbelievable but we're basically taking credit away from Bron for taking teams that didn't deserve to be there while not taking any credit away from MJ for getting eliminated early

The 07 Cavs had no business being in the NBA finals and the 2014-15 Cavs were bombed out and depleted.

We saw Jordan retire and his team went 55-27 without him.

I'll say slightly out of prime Tim lost to the Heat.
What team ever won 73 and lost 9.
I'll wait

So you penalize Bird, Bron, Magic, and Shaq for going to the finals and losing, but you don't penalize Mike for those years he was in the game and couldn't even make the finals.

That makes no sense.

Tim tony and manu were not in their primes in 2013. When they were in their primes they swept lebron and the Cavs in 2007
