While one should ALWAYS be cautious who they put their kids around, it is idiotic to think only a Black person can teach you something. It would be valid criticizism if the School was called the "Amen Ra Ho Tep Academy" and kids where wearing dashikis and stuff, at the end of the day it is a school where you learn fundamental schools. It`s like saying black scholars of the past are null and void because they got their educations from white universities. Point blank you have to get the information how ever your can, it is the duty of the parent to ensure a child has the proper development of self knowledge because the only people who can teach one of self are the ones who created that person. If you sent your kid to Umars school and think your job is done as a parent having to teach your kids you are a damn fool.
Heard Dr. Umar recently, he's looking at properties in Detroit, there are quite a few vacant high school properties, will be back in Michigan around MLK weekend to do further research and possibly in the Pennsylvania area, he's not getting the 2 million so he's starting smaller, he's starting a black boys tour later this year, one tour starts in Harlem and the other starts in Atlanta, he still has the West Africa tour and will be starting a Caribbean tour between Haiti, Mexico and Jamaica, just a quick update for folks.
sometimes I can't tell if it is just his Pride and poor business acumen or dude is really trying to juug. The dude speaks much truth, but his pride always seems to catch up to him. People were saying from the jump he should start small because 1.you have more control to adjust from mistakes without it being too problematic and 2. you build a model that people can look at to make your cause for wanting 2 mill much more valid. There are a ton of commercial properties in ATL Umar could get for the low to do this. But even then the question is how will people be paid to be faculty.

It's cool to be biased in how our kids are educated. but not everyone is the enemy. When my girl was in college his school actually sent her an invite to come and see what they are doing and find out why they have such the success rate that they do.
at the end of the day enemy or not, no school teaches lies per say, only half truths. Which is why parents should be 100% involved in their kids education to review the info a kid is being taught. And when it comes to Math and the Sciences, data is data so there is no racist math more so culturally biased wording of problems. But then again avg black child grows up in a home where parents can't even help them with their elementary age school work.

Has he put an amount out there for tuition? Minimum # of students he will need for it to be sustainable? Has he reached out to anyone for accreditation? Whole thing is a god damn mess.
