I'd gladly take a house. What fun is it to finance a huge wedding then have to go back to a basic apartment with a shytty car.
Plus I just can't see myself shelling out that much money for a one day event.

I always thought like everyone else in here....until that day came...and I shelled a little more than 10k for a 3k which is on the low end.
I paid 7k and financed the rest.
Don't ask me how or why...the way I see it I got off easy...we aren't having a large wedding...immediate family only...which would be our parents and we each have 1 sibling
My fiance's friend is Jewish and her family shelled out 70k for the wedding and they now live in LA with no savings.
Such is life in the white woman's world
I paid 7k and financed the rest.
