Wait, so there actually people out there that think Klay's better than Steph?

The revisionism going on in this thread is comedy. Curry has a few subpar games and y'all dudes turn into hyenas.

One of my real life best friends thinks this...........and sent me a text saying this during multiple Warriors games this postseason. I actually had to tell him it's pointless for us to discuss basketball last night. His basketball thoughts are typically unbearable.

To provide some context on his thoughts.

-He's a casual fan who on a Wednesday night slate of NBA games would more than likely be watching Empire.
-He doesn't watch much basketball aside from the playoffs (Finals and WCF, maybe a few other games here and there)
-Usually complains that 80's and 90's basketball is better than today
-Thinks Isiah Thomas is better than Steph Curry
-Thinks it's blasphemous that Curry is mentioned amongst greats like Allen Iverson even after this season.
-Doesn't like analytics or any form of basic stats aside from points. Completely disregards basic stats like FG% so analytics like usage rate, RPM, offensive and defensive rating is flat out nonsense.
-Thinks Curry stunk up the 2015 Finals and ignores Klay's performance
-Thinks Curry doesn't have the heart of Westbrook or Iverson and never shows up in big games
-When Curry scored 17 in OT he said Kobe already did it (despite the fact that he didn't)
-Huge Kobe and Dirk fan
-Thinks Klay won game 6 by himself and completely ignores Curry's 22 2nd half points to Klay's 25 points
-He's dark skinned and hates the Warriors
-Glamorizes the Bad Boy Pistons team defense and Isiah Thomas' game in which he scored 25 points on an injured ankle as well as Magic Johnson playing as Center in the NBA finals despite being born in 1984 and not actually watching any of these series live.

Anyone see a trend here?

Steph is better but Klay is just as integral to their success as he is if that makes sense. Klay allows Steph the chance to rest by guarding the better perimeter players in the league. And Steph as a number 1 option takes the pressure off of Klay who maybe wouldn't have the same kind of success if he had to be the top dawg for the Warriors.

Did you watch all the golden state playoffs games that Curry missed this year?

Klay plays BETTER without Steph Curry on the floor.

But could he do it for a whole season or playoff run? I don't think so. Maybe one day he will prove me wrong and show the world he is a true first option for a season.

Klay is a great player but curry is going to go down as one of the 5 best offensive players in the history of the league and top ten overall.

If Curry is the best shooter of all time then Klay is the second best.

This is somehow overlooked or forgoten .

If Klay wants to shine then he will move to another team..if he wants rings then he will just have to settle being overlooked his entire career at gsw.

I won't say better but, it's starting to appear that he's more reliable. Steph doesn't do anything except take threes. When his three isn't falling, I don't see him going for midrange or post ups or driving. I see Klay going for midrange shots and layups though. Also, Klay is 6"6-6"7 to Steph's 6"2-6"3. Klay is tall enough to get separation and elevate over most defenders. Steph keeps doing that crossover and step back move, which alot of people have caught on to :francis: or he has to call a screen to get a quick open look. Klay don't gotta do that. He just pull up and shoot because he's bigger.

Klay's been better in the finals so far, his level of play on both ends is ridiculous. Steph, as cliche as it is, gets hidden on D :yeshrug:
