One of my real life best friends thinks this...........and sent me a text saying this during multiple Warriors games this postseason. I actually had to tell him it's pointless for us to discuss basketball last night. His basketball thoughts are typically unbearable.
To provide some context on his thoughts.
-He's a casual fan who on a Wednesday night slate of NBA games would more than likely be watching Empire.
-He doesn't watch much basketball aside from the playoffs (Finals and WCF, maybe a few other games here and there)
-Usually complains that 80's and 90's basketball is better than today
-Thinks Isiah Thomas is better than Steph Curry
-Thinks it's blasphemous that Curry is mentioned amongst greats like Allen Iverson even after this season.
-Doesn't like analytics or any form of basic stats aside from points. Completely disregards basic stats like FG% so analytics like usage rate, RPM, offensive and defensive rating is flat out nonsense.
-Thinks Curry stunk up the 2015 Finals and ignores Klay's performance
-Thinks Curry doesn't have the heart of Westbrook or Iverson and never shows up in big games
-When Curry scored 17 in OT he said Kobe already did it (despite the fact that he didn't)
-Huge Kobe and Dirk fan
-Thinks Klay won game 6 by himself and completely ignores Curry's 22 2nd half points to Klay's 25 points
-He's dark skinned and hates the Warriors
-Glamorizes the Bad Boy Pistons team defense and Isiah Thomas' game in which he scored 25 points on an injured ankle as well as Magic Johnson playing as Center in the NBA finals despite being born in 1984 and not actually watching any of these series live.
Anyone see a trend here?
