You would think artist these days would be smart enough to make sure mandatory releases dates are in their contracts before the sign them but nope. I rarely feel sorry for the artist. Their fault for not reading the paperwork and trusting the lawyer for everything. I would never do that. I would study a little bit of law on the music industry side just to make sure I wouldn't get fukked by lawyer who has ties to the label anyway.

Everyone that made money with Lyor or any executive says that they are cool people, everyone that starts flopping and shyt says that they are snakes. That's how it was and how it will be, specially when you deal with rappers. Lyor was CEO of WMG, probably thousands of artists all over the world. His dealings with Waka couldn't have been close enough for him to ever hustle him. Just a pure guess, I would think that he has a 360 and still has to pay Atlantic/Warner for the shyt he's doing now, without them helping him.
