You could argue Lupe is the most underrated MC in hip hop period

I'd say underachieving. Lupe literally has all the tools needed to be the GOAT but he gets too emotional at times and it affects his music.

Basically. Good shyt. See this is what I mean by objective. Wale is def a better emcee than Meek and that's not a knock on Meek at all. Some nikkas is better at rapping than other nikkas.

Really shocked me how good he was .

I hope to see wale again soon I don't wanna judge because I only saw him at Howard yard fest .

See this is what I don't understand. It's like dude is blackballed in the industry while still being around.
IMO he's top 5 of his generation as far as legit spitting and technical skills.
I'd put his first 3 albums against anyone, and that's not even including mixtapes. His albums were were straight fire and polished/complete, which is an accomplishment in an era where mixtapes are better than albums.

Hes got a handful of hits and features but at the same time that didn't translate to overall success, even compared with artists that had less exposure.
Listening to his interviews you can tell his personality will piss off the WRONG people.
That's different from Drake coming across as a cornball lame, b/c in many ways thats more conducive to doing business
