This exactly.

Wale has had a machine. He somehow can't pick a lane yet is too formulaic at the same time, all his album cycles are led by a female record with an R&B singer hook. It's predictable and being unable to put out bangers that resonate with us (men) prevents him from being seen as a heavyweight. He also doesn't have a strong rapping voice.

No he doesn't.
Thank you. Ambition was the last song he made nikkas could feel.

He's a conscious every man rapper who excels at making R&B rap songs for women. His flow and voice are weak he got peanut butter in his mouth he got that D.C. urrea shyt too :camby:

Wale and Lupe are two rappers that people stay making excuses for. Atlantic was feeding Lupe alternative rock pop hits and shyt. Wale had a fukking Lady Gaga feature and flopped.

It’s them and they smarter than the room attitude and weak ass voices that hold them back. :dead:

Cudi said it best. "We just dont fukk w/ you musically."

Wale always comes off as jealous of his "class." Cudi, Drake, Cole. Because he was supposed to be the guy. He had all the press on his dikk and everything

Kendrick lapped him.

I guess he's still more poppin than Big Sean at least :manny:

I need to add something to this thread. I know they are close friends but I honestly think Wale is jealous of Cole success. I believe he feels like his career should've went the way Coles went..

Just a observation

but hes simply not as good as cole lmao

he should've realized this 10 yrs ago when they did beautiful bliss

I bet Wale's life is awesome, so I don't think it's sad how he didn't get super famous.

Wale himself is constantly depressed about his lack of mainstream success compared to his peers. I'm not saying his life sucks it just sucks to never see him hit that next level, it is what it is

He's been jealous of Cole for a while now. He constantly blames his lack of success on his skin tone. He believes Drake and Cole are celebrated because they are light skinned and mixed. But he's wrong. He can't explain the success of Kendrick or other black men in rap. Its a bit pathetic because he doesn't even hide how he feels.
