My only question is if he can handle the power at 175. Especially from a guy like Barrera, who is built like a natural Cruiserweight.

If he can, SOG got this

I think he can handle it and I'm sure he's been working with big sparring partners in preparation for this 175 jump. Ward isn't going to do something his body physically isn't ready for imo.

I wasn't too familiar with Barrera but after this marathon run of his fights ive done the past few days he is the perfect opponent to fight on the road to the racist demon. He has power, likes to fight at the same range kkkov does, throws the exact same straight right hand to the body and doesn't like it on the inside.

Yeah it will be interesting to see how he takes punches at 175, although I think he will be fine.

It will also be interesting to see how his power carries up. Again I think he will be fine. I don't expect him to have any more power vs guys than he did at 168, but he never relied on it, his boxing skills are most important.

A guy like JCC was in trouble because his power had no effect at LH, but he didn't have the boxing skills to lean on.

@krackdagawd, it was reported that Ward's contract beef with HBO was whether he deserved one or two tune ups because his last fight got cancelled. What is your thoughts on that?

Personally I don't mind Ward getting an extra tune up, Ward-Kovalev definitely needs a bit more build up to sell, it isn't quite as natural as Stevenson-Kovalev.
Either way, as long as they meet.
