FYI Demarcus Ware will be 32 this year. The league leader in sacks Robert Mathis was 32 during his dominant season last year. If Ware is healthy you can bank on 12+ sacks. And that's being modest knowing Von is going to be opposite him. And he is going to be playing with a lead 95% of the time.

and he's playing the raiders twice my nikka :what:

cmon now thats 6 sacks already

if they can keep these two guys (Ware & Miller) healthy and on the field. they are going to terrorize every team.

Malik Jackson pushing the pile in the middle has been a revelation. they'll be a scary good defensive line.

They have problems at LB though

Y'all saying Ware was injured just last season must not follow the Cowboys, he has been getting hurt the last 3 seasons. I love Ware but his sack totals are very misleading, he will get you a good 1st qtr sack then disappear on 3rd downs.

I hate seeing idiots up threads like this, Ware is the last person to be blamed for Denver losing. How about talk about the QB that can't throw more then 10 yards

How the hell they signing all these dudes? :what:

Where they getting the money from?
This is what's called bad business. Rex Ryan did this in 2009-2011, in between the uncapped season. This is what's known as "loading up"... The Broncos very much understand that Peyton has a shelf life. Once that shelf life ends so does their postseason hopes. For they have not drafted a viable option to replace him, which is puzzling, but also consistent with the "loading up" mentality and competitive FA QB's are a very rare find. As Rex did, they are making signings that they normally would not commit. This flux of committed money inevitably must be purged. Certain players who would normally be retained over this coming offseason (Knighton, Moore, etc.) will become what in layman's terms has become known as a "cap casualty". Unfortunately, it makes more sense, in terms of managing your cap, to let your youngsters with expiring contracts go into free agency (despite whether you want to keep them or not) because the alternative option is to cut the players with contracts which still have guaranteed money attached to them and even more importantly, cap penalties which will damage your flexibility in resignings of existing expiring contracts and potential free agent targets because you will not be able to offer them a competitive deal due to multiple cap penalties lowering your hard cap. Not to mention, free agents representation will encourage their clients to strongly avoid signing with a team that makes long term commitments and parts with them only after a year or two (these situations usually hurt the clients potential to mesh with their team/unit and don't maximize their long term profitability). Hence, why teams like the Buccaneers must trade for high level or elite talent because not many elite FA's will commit to a team with unstable ownership or GM status. The majority of players are not like Revis, who can sign a large deal, become a FA one year into that deal, then sign another lucrative contract for either top money or max years. Much like the Jets did, the Broncos will experience an exodus over the next two years of valuable/controllable contracts due to their cap restrictions caused by big free agent signings in clusters. If they draft well and make some cap conscious/valuable FA signings they will maintain a competitive atmosphere. If not, you will see them travel a path similar to what the NY Jets followed after their two year playoff run.

This concludes our cap management/ contracts lesson for the day..... :beli:

RexRyan did what? :dahell:

Who did the jets sign? All Rex did was coach Maginis players. The jets didn't go out and rent old players like the Broncos.

Wtf??

Really ? I'm not referring to just renting old players, which they did do, but also signing bad contracts. For example:

Ladanian Tomlinson, Jason Taylor, Brett Favre, Plaxico Burress= Renting Old Players

Santonio Holmes, Braylon Edwards, Lito Sheppard (signed to 4yr 30 mill ext)= Bad Rentals that hurt them in the long run

Nick Mangold to 7 year contract ext & Revis to 4 yr ext = Bad Extensions (Mangold to biggest center contract ever, those never work & Revis Traded after signing ext)

Kerry Rhodes, Leon Washington, Johnathan Vilma = Bad trades out

Bart Scott = Bad FA Signing (6 years, 43 mill). Hurt long the flexibility when cut. Could have just kept Vilma at cheaper $....

Jerricho Cotchery, Damien Woody, Kris Jenkins = Cap Casualties

Top 3 2009 Drafts = Mark Sanchez QB, Shonne Green RB (Drafted QB that hurt team in long run w/ traded draft picks & signed to huge 5 yr ext, then subsequently cut 2 years after)
Top 3 2010 Drafts = Kyle Wilson CB, Vlad Ducasse OT, Joe McKnight (Never contributed)
Top 3 2011 Drafts = Muhammad Wilkerson (Great pick), Kenrick Ellis

Antonio Cromartie = Great Trade for long & short term
Muhammad Wilkerson = only good pick out of 8 picks in 1st three rounds in 3 draft classes

Long story short. Made AFC championship twice... Haven't been to playoffs since. Bad trades, bad contracts, bad extensions, inability to resign contributors & leaders & bad drafts = Franchise in shambles.

Lays it pretty bare :beli:

Kris Jenkins blew his knee out.

Damian Woody retired.

Jonathan Vilma small ass didn't fit the Jets system and was worthless vs the run which was why Scott was taken because he was more effective.

cotchery wanted to leave and the Jets gave him that chance.

Saying Nick Mangold 7 yr ext was a bad deal :dahell:
Rex Ryan NEVER coached Brett Favre.

You're talking out your ass
