100% false and I'm :snoop: that so many people Dapped you.

shyt went off the rails in the 00's but prior to that, specifically the 80's and 90's, there was a close musical relationship between the two generations. You had people like Marley Marl coaching RZA, you had Kane mentoring Jay....you had groups like Stetsasonic that were friends with AZ....not to mention everyone from Outkast to Mobb Deep doing songs with 80's legends.

:what: at "rap is a young man's game". No it's not. The shyt is 40 years old. The problem is, and I've spoken on this before, every generation prior to this one had their own shyt. The 50's had doo wop, the 60's had psychedelic rock and Motown, the 70's had funk, soul and disco, and the 80's and 90's had hip-hop and contemporary R&B. You got people in their 20's trying to claim a genre of music that existed 20 years before they were born. It's retarded. It would be like someone born in the 70's trying to claim disco.

And for the record I don't even think rap should be divided into sub-genres but I'm :comeon:that you think rap is so delicate it would be impacted by all these random ass "rappers" being relegated to different sub-genres. As if Lil Yachty and Lil Uzi Vert is really keeping the shyt alive. People aren't even going to remember who the fukk they are 5 years from now.

Fred.
Aint you still got to answer my question in that other thread and you got the nerve to be quoting me? :childplease: until you do that I ain't reading nothing you typing my direction :umad::lolbron:

He is right. Rock has labels for all different types of rock, we need the same shyt in Hip Hop. People who listen to soft rock or classic rock aren't the same audience for heavy metal or punk rock. Whatever this new dirty Sprite/Percocet/Xanax rap is I'm not with it.

I actually came through to say the same thing. The current trend that places more emphasis on melodies than actual rapping needs its own sub genre

Hiphop used to be an artform. It took creative talent with substance and content. With or without a beat.

Now and days, it's shytty lyrics. Lyrics so shytty that the beats or production shine over them. This is one of the many reasons there have been soo many disposable "rappers" since the mid 2000's who have had a hit, and then are forgotten.

Growing up, only spittas was jump into a cypher and the weak would be too shook to. Now and days, every kid thinks he can rap.

You can tell a lot of these new cats have never been in a cypher.

Warren G my dude, but come on. He's not respected for his rapping prowess. His mcing skills. it's even sillier coming from a west coaster who received so much hate from the real hip hopers of NY.

and what the hell is art barr talking about ??? :dahell:

How efeminate rap is now,....
We are listening to the equivalent of music made in the essence of sellout will smith records from boom boom shake the room to chunky a and Brian Austin green ruining pharcyde and slim kid tre.
Featuring will smith after playing a emasculated efeminate fakkit gay man lip kisser.
With music like pm dawn was flanked by the rap label from The projects.
headed by a pedophile and his victimized adoptive son.
Who signed a plastic surgeon needing skinnay ass girl in need of an ass and a nose job.
to remove her Alf nostril inflicted ass nose, to be a sex symbol.
That is what I am talembout,....

How this shyt now is some weird bizzaro world revisit or retread of 1992 or 93 meets emo /jiggy in 96.
that includes any and every rap no no came to life all at the same time.

rap is indeed a young man's game. one of the things that attracted me to rap over any other genre of music is the competition aspect that IT USED TO HAVE.

the problem is, the torch was never passed to the new generation like pass generations. that got halted in the early 2000s when the rapping CEOs wanted to stay the man forever and didn't want to pass the torch. now the new generation that's out there is mostly just guys running with the torch by default with no real training, to put it figuratively.

there used to be a flow chart to this rap chit in the '80s & '90s.

When warren g was on celebrity fit club hip hop looked good? Also it's funny hearing warren g talk like he's all about hiphop when there's people that blame him and gangsta rap/g funk for the destruction of rap altogether.
