Best case scenario would be they're able to keep Lillard, McCollum & Nurkic while the 12 other players on the roster are all on minimum deals :ld:

I mean, where do you rank nurkic as a player

I'd have to look at a list of the entire league to say honestly.

why are people denying the talent on this roster shyts crazy. is it because lebron and the cavs somehow lucked into the warriors imploding( injuries suspensions etc ) last year ? they added a fukking 4 time scoring leader mvp etc to a 73-9 roster:deadrose:

Because the people of the coli are retarded. They voted 30 players over Green because they don't understand the importance of defense. Same thing is happening with Klay, he's holding the players he's guarding to something like 30% from the field and last night the Cavs were 1-15 when guarded by Klay.

People keep acting like Klay/Green ain't shyt, but they're retarded. The whole reason people were upset about Durant's move is who he was joining, in particular Curry/Klay/Green, people gotta stop acting like retards that are mad and trying to discredit Klay/Green.

unless you're a flashy player you won't get respect on here either that or putting up 20 and 10. most coli members don't understand the impact that draymond has on the game. it's not easy to see like a cross over or a layup.

No team is going to be able to acquire enough talent to match them unless klay leaves. He's the only one I could see wanting out.

They have the best two pure shooters and the best scorer and best defender on one team. Just putting together a few stars isn't going to cut it.

Jeff Van Gundy predicted the Heat teams with Bron and Wade to 3peat or 4peat if i'm not mistaken. Look how that turned out. Super teams usually don't last that long. Egos happen or people want the chance to make more money elsewhere.

the Cheat had flaws this team doesn't have a flow. not only do they have the best starters they have a great bench with a former finals mvp

If he plays the way he did in the 2nd half of this year next season he's absolutely going to get the max on the open market. Lillard got the max, McCollum over $25 mil a year

But really I just used Portland as an example. I just think that instituting a hard cap wouldn't only negatively affect superteams. Teams that aren't on that level would also have to make tough decisions regarding their talent they otherwise wouldn't have to make

top 80-100 id say give or take

Ok cool

Tough to guess salaries off the top of my head honestly, but let's say the hard cap was like $140 mil, and minimum salary is like 3 mil (in the interest of comraderie to make sure everyone has enough money to live very well)

If every team has to have 13 players, at the very least you're spending 30 mil on players 4-13, giving you 110 mil for a big 3

Steph Curry, Durant, LeBron, kawhi, Anthony davis harden, Russ level players could command 50-60 mil

That gives you 50 mil left to sign your next 2 players

I just can't imagine a team having 3 legit stars in this type of setup

4 stars damn sure wouldn't happen

Imo

Guys like nurkic can command 25 mil cuz of birds rights. Once teams are over the cap they have no reason to not overpay guys and keep em

Nurkic might get 25 under the current cba
With a hard cap he might only be able to get 15

Nurkic would get paid over CJ though. The team wasn't going to make the playoffs until Nurkic joined them and his impact was obviously huge.

Actually I'm in favor of the hard cap as it would make GMs make tough choices like this, it would be interesting to see in the least.

Only reason I'm against it is because I like seeing players get paid. It's just a shame that there's players that take advantage of it and willingly take less to team up to form these super teams.

Maybe he would get less under a different format but teams will overpay guys whether there's a hard cap or not, nothing will stop that.

What you mean nothing will stop that?

Only so many players can be overpaid with a hard cap in place

Revenue generators would still get paid. A lot of them would get paid more than they get now

The Luol dengs and ian mahimis of the world would suffer
