Jason Kidd wasn't an assistant coach you said you had examples on assistants being irrelevant. Also, the Nets second half of the 2014 season they patched things up defensively after simplifying the defense and demoting Lawrence Frank. They became one of the best teams at forcing TO's and got quicker with small ball lineups.

LeBron takes every team to the Finals but the equal opportunity offense put together by Lue had the big 3 having more 20 point games together than ever and hitting threes as a team at a higher clip. Lue had the Cavs do more conditioning drills and didn't ride stars like Blatt did.
