The first half of the Bucks season 2 years ago, you had countless posters raving about Kidds ability to coach defense and how he has them playing well

I was debating how If Kidd is such a good defensive coach why wasn't Brookyln any good at defense and the Buck are good at defense because they are long but the team isn't any good at all and Kidd doesn't deserve any credit

The Nets were old and creaky while the Bucks are young long and athletic

It's also not unreasonable to think that Kidd learned a lot from his tenure in Brooklyn (remember he had never coached at any level previously) and was able to implement these new skills on his second team.

He's also missed the Playoffs twice and put his team in a 3-1 hole by playing like trash in the 1st 2 games of the Finals.

Their offense was much better in games 41-82: NBA.com/Stats. It was also pretty good in the Finals (4th in fg% and 5th in ppg of the playoffs), but had Lue played his bench more in that series like he did in the other rounds, their offense would have been even better.

One big responsibility for assistants is to watch most of the film because the top coach has too many responsibilities.
