Edit: Steph was otherworldly that season but Klay gets overlooked so much in that 2016 season/playoffs, probably his best season to date.

Can we agree that this "super team" argument has become one of the stupidest arguments in NBA fandom?

You have no definition for "Super Team." There's never been a definition. So there's nothing to argue. It's a meaningless term. Every time we've tried to have an argument, it's gone nowhere because the people using the term make it completely arbitrary.

By absolutely any definition, there's been "Super Teams" since the beginning of the NBA. The 1950s and 1960s Boston teams had entire lineups full of Hall of Fame players, the 1960s and 1970s Los Angeles lineup had three of the biggest players in the league simultaneously. But "superteam" was a casual thing mentioned, it wasn't this giant, unending argument. Bron haters followed by Durant haters have made it really stupid.

Either define the damn term, or stop arguing about it. It's gotten old.

They went 73-9, never lost a game at home in the reg season, and obliterated everyone.
Only time they looked off was first 4 games vs OKC and last 3 games vs CLE.


Nobody is calling Steph Klay and Dray a Superteam. And if you are, it's solely because Curry is that good.

That was the consensus that they were

Bron = 25+ scorer
Kyrie = 20+ scorer
Love = 26 And 12 the year before


They had waiters, traded nothin to the Knicks to get shump and jr and traded for mosgov.


Even going into the offs(before love got hurt) most had Cavs winning it all

Have a star already on your roster and during the offseason get prime bron and prime Kevin to join the team and say the team ain’t a super team brehs

There wasn't a single mention of them being a superteam during their entire 2014-15 campaign and they even lost a key player in David Lee heading into the 2015-16 season, so no they weren't a superteam.

Klay's a great #2 in the Scottie Pippen mold, but there's no period in the modern NBA where a guy like Draymond is even considered an All-Star, let alone a superstar. You go back to the 00s and the guy doesn't even get All-Star consideration when he's competing with the likes of Duncan, Garnett, Nowitzki, Webber, etc. in the West. He's a great role player--that's it. You can't be a superteam with just two star players.

That 2nd round series when the Blazers were about to tie the series 2-2 and were blowing the Warriors out in Game 4, until Steph came back from his injury and produced that legendary performance revealed just how ordinary the Warriors were without him.

Steph deserves full credit for their run that season.
