Fukk your corny debates
Album was dope as fukk. Never understood the hate it got here.
album was dope as shyt. the way folks reacted to it made me realize how trash hip hop opinions are over here
why wasn't Dre able to pull off what Tribe did??
can't blame that on "the kids" or the expectations
In real life it wasnt popping eitherAlbum was dope as fukk. Never understood the hate it got here.
Why,it's not like the world was bumping this album and the coli happened to dislike.Exactly, i feel like i'm in the twilight zone..everything from.the production to the mixing and mastering to the most underrated part of the album: the VOCAL PERFORMANCES....he made everybody sound the best they have in years...i mean everybody from snoop to game to fukkin ice cube sounded great, along w dre himself....anderson paak was a highlight as well and "animals" was probably the best song on the album (a PREMO beat in 2015 no less! )...the only "weak" parts of the album if u want to call it that were the experimentations with trap beats...but i give dre credit for branching out and trying something new...they were hardly "wack" either, most were bangers ie Deep Water, For the Love of Money....the album was very dope...is it a classic like chronic/2001? nah bc it didnt have the monster hits,,,but as a jaded hip hop fan will i always look forward to a dre project? of course and i hope its not the last.
NAW,IT USED THE NWA MOVIE buzz.I think the main reason why this album also didn't really have any impact was because Dre just put it out with NO promotion. The album was literally just released and that was it. There were no interviews done for it by him at all.
We cant just wash over this though.Exactly, i feel like i'm in the twilight zone..everything from.the production to the mixing and mastering to the most underrated part of the album: the VOCAL PERFORMANCES....he made everybody sound the best they have in years...i mean everybody from snoop to game to fukkin ice cube sounded great, along w dre himself....anderson paak was a highlight as well and "animals" was probably the best song on the album (a PREMO beat in 2015 no less! )...the only "weak" parts of the album if u want to call it that were the experimentations with trap beats...but i give dre credit for branching out and trying something new...they were hardly "wack" either, most were bangers ie Deep Water, For the Love of Money....the album was very dope...is it a classic like chronic/2001? nah bc it didnt have the monster hits,,,but as a jaded hip hop fan will i always look forward to a dre project? of course and i hope its not the last.

This is a real serious problem and it's not a passable problem at all.
Dre projects (not just HIS albums)
are known for having stand out hits even if they werent singles.
He failed us
It was forgettable. I liked the chronic alot better than 2001 but 2001 had some landmark songs that kept it in the game. All things considered it was still a great album IMO and one of the best hip hop releases last year. A classic? No, but i get where you're coming from...that's the burden of being dr. dre...anything less than a classic is "wack"..
