You don't get as raw as MJ was without being that obsessed

You should watch his Hall of Fame speech...nikkas like that will never ever lose.
This was an interesting video about Leroy Smith his teammate that was picked over MJ that he was shytting on

I would argue that Jordan's natural ability not only in terms of athleticism (explosiveness, balance, height/physique, etc.), but how quickly he processed information, natural creativity and experiences has more to do with his success than being ultra competitive.

Just because you're highly competitive doesn't guarantee your success. I know people with that raw mentality and they're not beasting at life by any means, in fact they've just completely brushed people/assets away because they bring no "glitches" to the table like Jordan's natural ability to make it worth putting up with them. People will rather want to be around the average positive person than the average person who acts like an ass, which means more connections for the former and more opportunities.

If you have the raw talent you can act any old way because you are that much better than everybody else.

It's the truth, sorry.

For MJ though the natural ability and athleticism is great, but it's the mentality that pushes him further, his needing to win at everything basically. It drives his work ethic, which trickles down to his teammates. Playing with MJ will reveal a teammate's makeup quick. You'll either be too soft and get thrown to the bushes, or you'll become mentally stronger, and be a better player.

Teammates see MJ, with his god-given talent, puttin in work even in practices, not giving an inch, obsessed with always winning, and it trickles down. Playing hurt, tired, and still performing and winning, that's the mental edge he had.

Raw talent can take you far, but it's the mentality that has him constantly getting better, working on his game, not shrinking in big moments.

Thats what I was thinking too. Mentality over everything. Talent as well. If talent is the upper dog......we have many athletes who will never graze Jordan's legacy. Not even a slice of it

Jordan was a psychopath.
He is not somone to be emulated or admired, you should pity the man.
Bill Russell was a greater champion without being that piece of shyt.
Wilt was great an personable, the greatest player of all time.
Magic and Bird highly personable as well.

Psychopathy, sometimes considered synonymous with sociopathy, is traditionally defined as a personality disorder characterized by persistent antisocial behavior, impaired empathy and remorse, and bold, disinhibited, and egotistical traits.

===
How does that not fit Jordan?

This is the Jordan who would torment teammates who he considered weak or lesser than him.

Turn coal into diamond breh.

Pippen isn't nearly the player he became if not for MJ. When you're all world GOAT teammate is going hard all day every day, even in practice, well what's your excuse for not getting better?

The talent can take you far. But the mentality will take your farther. Push past pain/aches, fatigue, etc. Not blink in big moments. That's why numbers only tell part of the story. Because we're human, different situations will have an effect on how we can perform.
