In his prime yes, but Jay Z deflated the air from Prodigy because he was never the same lyrically after that Summer Jam screen. But both Big Boi and Dre are the most improved lyricists in hip hop history. The way Outkast was spitting on Stankonia is absolutely nothing like how they were rhyming on their first album. TI is also one of the most improved lyricists of all time. Dude was not lyrically impressive on his first album but by the time he did Paper Trails he was spitting like someone trying to impress east coast hip hop heads.

Indeed. But I care way more about peak than longevity when it comes to rap. That's why Biggie was my GOAT for so long.

I much prefer 1995-1999 Prodigy over any version of Andre 3000.
