Jones was running through Houston at that time. He even popped up in Paul Wall Sittin Sidewayz video.

the fukk was going on? :beli:

"i gotta shout my nikkas in houston (AYE TRAE WAT UP!!), that ride old schools and they system is screwin (HEY BUN B!!!!)" :beli: fukk is you talkin bout jimmy

this nikka harmonizing like a toddler that just got cussed out by his mama :scust:

:snoop: my nikka L-O was clearly confused and disgusted by the jibber jabber capo littered this track with, he aint even acknowledge the nikka's verse til the end when he jacked one of Lo's own lines

this oaf comes on the track tellin every borough to walk it out...then immediately begins his verse by declaring that they DO NOT in fact walk it out :whoo: ....a brazen move by the dirt angel

in another tasteless, disrespectful move, we see yimmy literally phone in a verse for zoe from what sounds like a flooded submarine :francis:

i could go on but listening to all these back to back has me nauseous and dizzy, add on at your own risk brehs

hip hop historians will look back at this era with contempt and disdain, but if there is any justice or righteousness in this world hopefully these remixes will be wiped from history and never spoken of again like those racist looney tunes cartoons from the 40s

Just when i thought I've heard every version of Swang, i find a new one...

:dwillhuh:

Ive never heard this remix of Swang. Ive hesrd thid instrumental used for s completely different remix of Swang....

There's a trillion Swang remixes it seems. That's my fave song from that Era.

Either way, your point stands. The 00's weird. I bet there are even some hidden remixes to some pop-punk tracks from the mid-00's that feature Jim Jones.

Was there ever a darker era?

Yea when 50 cent released the plague known as Tony Yayo on the world...

As a G-unit fan, I was pissed whenever he came on tracks rapping off beat. That was when G-unit was big too.

Honestly Jim Jones broke Day N Night. At least for me. I didn't hear about it til I heard his version and I thought it was his song. Thank you Jimmy
That's how I discovered Kid Cudi too.
That and the Crookers remix.

That was truly one of the worst rap songs ever made.
