Me, I'm not sure how I feel about this. That 1st rounder... Don't get it twisted, Gortat's a solid player, and I get that it's T12 protected, but a #13-19 or so pick next year would've probably been T10 most other years. Gortat really worth a potential #13 pick in this draft? Plus you could've used that 1st to get LA or Monroe (either of whom would've really helped this team), if they are/were in fact gonna be moved.

I guess my first instinct is that this is a trade, but it'll become disastrous if it costs 'em a better trade down the road.

Another Ernie Grunfeld move. Trade a 1st rounder for Gortat who could just be only there for a year rental. But, I guess he wants to save his job. On paper, Wiz Kidz look like they will make the playoffs, but Suns got 4 picks in the 1st round next season though.
