Lol, it's taste at the end of the day but artistically I don't think content wise, conceptually, lyrically, poetically or in various other ways Drake can be compared to Common.

If you go to IMDB.com it seems like Common is actually having the overall career that Drake claimed he wanted after So Far Gone took off...What happened to all the talk of Drake being the next Will Smith and having his own sitcom and leading roles in blockbuster films?

He's mos def a success musically, but the whole roll out plan for him suggested he was gonna be a serious double threat...

Hes 26 most rappers or music acts that jump into TV and movies do it in there 30s right...If he continues to sell albums and make himself commercially appealing theres no reason to think he wont make the transition...

Regardless of how you feel about how that lil beef or whatever turned out, Common is still making dope music though...shyt had/has no bearing on his actual career...out of the all older rapper's from Common's era, other than nas and jay (and I think his last album was way better than MCHG, but jay got him just as far as being a top level guy) he's right up there near the very top of rap elder statesmen putting out current material

I got a lot of respect for commons career. I got most of his albums but I just thought he blew an opportunity to roast drake and gave a half ass effort. I really don't check for him like that anymore but he showed his age and lack of creativity in that diss he spit. Should've just kept his mouf shut.
