We always talk about how bad blk schools/districts are. Should blk ppl file a class action lawsuit against inner city school districts?

My wife, her sister, and mother in law work in public education. Lack of resources are a big problem but according to them, the major problem is parenting and these kids home life outside of school. Add in all the social media stuff that these kids are hooked on which takes away their focus. You got grown people who cant take themselves away from the phones, tablets, ect for five minutes. Imagine these kids at school. There is alot of blame to go around.

People will debate against teachers who are at ground zero of the problem and say its something else.

My sister in law quit at age 30, after going to school to become a teacher in NYC. Her biggest issue:

Parents not following up with their own children at home by making sure they study. She told us that she would cry so much in the evenings. The administration would fault her if some students were not up to speed on the content, but many of those kids would never do their homework nor study at home because the parents were negligent.

She taught in Sunset Park, Brooklyn, majority hispanic kids.

You need a license for nearly everything important in life EXCEPT having children.
Man… So I wonder if the solution would be to create boarding schools

We need to additionally clean up our communities, you can't expect top qualified teachers to want to teach in ahitty communities with bad parenting

Bro for my afternoon duty at my school, I direct the traffic at the top of our parking lot. It’s a small school & our lot is small, so when it gets full I have to close it off completely until we can fill it up again, and if you come after I close it off, you have to wait 5 minutes MAX before I can open it again because we get the kids out as quickly as we can.

This is the 3rd week of school & I’ve already been cursed out 10 times cause these motherfukkers wanna get mad at me for doing my job.

This shyt is draining man. Not to mention the ain’t shyt parents who drop their kids off at 7:00 blasting Pooh Shiesty loud as hell & the car smells like someone hotboxed in it before dropping the kids off.

It’s way more mature and good parents than the shytty ones, but the shytty ones can drain your soul

Either that...or smaller class sizes. So that the kids who need extra help, get it. My sister in law said a major problem was slowing down progress for the few who were behind at the expense of students who weren't behind. The students who weren't behind were essentially penalized by the kids who were.

Teachers are garbage, plain and simple. Teachers need to be on call/duty 24-7 like cops, doctors,

Folks wanna throw money at the problem, when alot of the money is just being stolen and embezzled,or being collected without any standards.

The parents are garbage as well.. If you need a teacher over your child 24/7, then lets have a honest discussion of why you didn't have a abortion, or just don't have kids.

By this logic, when a surgeon sees a fat person on a hospital bed. They should just say fukk em and let em die.

With certain jobs you should be more dedicated to your work than just clocking in and clocking out. Who cares about the system, and the kids being fukked up. We all saw Lean On Me,go above and beyond now if you really give a damn.

I teach thecoli more diligently for free, than my teachers ever tried to reach me on salary:respect:

Education starts and fails at home. People are still deflecting and looking for scape goats.

When the kids are ready to learn and they are not being taught or given the right resources then go after the schools. But that's not what it is. Lebron's school just made headlines fail rates despite having resources.

Education is not a priority. Not in the way people understand it. Sending your kids to school and expecting them to come back smarter? Nah you doing the bare minimum. Most parents who set their kids up give them the foundation at home. They get to school already knowing some shyt.

What does this even mean?

Sleepless nights trying to figure out how they can get through to a kid. Leaving work to go to the homes of troubled students. Playing a 1 v 1 game of Madden, for a students effort and attention on the weekend. Parents obviously dont give a shyt, thats what you get paid to do. In situations where thats the case. But thats why teachers, social workers and every other job sector that involves children is fukked:francis:

I see coli posters up at 3am for godsakes talking about the state of the black community and the kids. Meanwhile the kids in these schools fail year after year, while they collect bigger and bigger checks. And this is them
