I'm not sure what Boone's plan was for this game. It's like he planned to give this game away before the opening pitch.

To not pitch any of the main pitchers? Okay. Fine. Slugfest it is.

But then, he brings in Ottavino and Britton to try to steal the game, then game is tied, so he brings in Chance Adams? And of course, we lose. Just a very weirdly managed game.

Honestly, this game is on Torres.

It was 6-2. Cessa comes in and gives up what shoulda been an elementary double play ball and Gleyber fukks it up. Whatever his deal was that inning, he was not focused. That led to 4 runs and it got them into the game. If that DP is turned, it's 6-2, new pitcher, and you just chalk it up to a mini rally that didn't get too crazy and the game likely becomes a snooze fest.

Boone had no interest in actually managing tonight. That much is obvious, but up 6-0, everyone was ready to kick their feet up.
