Besides Cashman’s emotional attachment, they really do think he’s underrated and they’re banking on his advanced numbers. His advanced numbers are really good but it’s not too much to ask Hicks to hit over .270. It really shouldn’t be.

For Hicks clearly he’s not confident in free agency even though he woulda been by far the best center fielder on the market.

Let’s wait on that. A 5 game sample size is a small one when you consider that Tex has I believe one of the 3 worst postseason batting averages in team history next to Swisher and Whitey Ford.
