It's legitimately the same scenario no matter how you slice it. It's almost 90 bucks a month for YouTube TV at its base level and most dudes who get it end up adding the NFL ticket.

But the value is there if you actually are being rational. But the same people who'll say "nobody has time to play all those games" are the same people that will sub to YouTube TV and watch 2-3 channel for a couple hours and add the NFL package.

:mjlol:

You don't need most subscriptions 365 days of the year yet people do it all the time but with gamepass "it's different"

Gamepass ultimate is the YouTube TV of live and on demand gaming content at a better value
Just about everyone watches TV and wants some sort of entertainment on their TV.

Console gaming isn't that. You can A la carte games and if you're patient with your purchases save serious money on them even over a subscription service.

For the majority a gaming subscription service is at best an impulse sub that at a low price they hopefully don't mind. Netflix is a lot of people's primary source of entertainment so they don't compare. An overwhelming majority of household in the US has a Netflix sub.

Will wait for inevitable ps+ on that one.
Game was free on PSN this month with PS+. There you go.
when it goes PS+ i'll download it.
My PS+ is good till June 2024
Been thinking about resubbing to this because of their BS game save policy. I still have my launch PS5 sitting in a corner and only use the Pro because without PS+ there's no sensible way to move save files. With PS+ I'd at least get cloud saves and could hook that 5 up to me 2nd TV.
It’s worth it just to get features that are free on other platforms :wow:

:why: comparing cable services to gamepass is a stretch. Actually its still cheaper that regular cable is a bad analogy. Also....

I mean it depends on your situation, how much you pay for Internet? If you got terrible Internet speeds, or if you only have a basic or above plan.

If any of those things are bad or a no YouTube tv is gonna cost you more to run decently than a and a plan.

In 2017 YouTube TV let you watch TV and movies for 35 a month.... It's 2025 and it's now 82.99... with the last price hike being 10 bucks.

You mentioned the price hikes, I was just pointing out the other billion dollar company that raised prices on its service significantly that was clearly to good to last.

And there are people in here that sub to it no problem.:francis:

Your right it's more of a luxury hobby, hence why it "should" cost more or at least the very same...

You can do the same with TV and movies more so now than ever before. Infact you can do it so much so that these services started releasing episodes weekly so people couldn't binge a series they want and unsub so easily. You can also "buy" or rent movies on Amazon and YouTube.

For the majority a gaming subscription service is at best an impulse sub that at a low price they hopefully don't mind. Netflix is a lot of people's primary source of entertainment so they don't compare. An overwhelming majority of household in the US has a Netflix sub.
And at one point they didn't, Netflix started at 16 bucks a month for unlimited dvd rentals. Then it went to 8 a month for streaming then kept the price a 8 but made it ad it the ad tier and raised the price 10 bucks and the platinum went to premium and when from 12 to 24 bucks..

So with Netflix being very profitable and the main sub service of most folks they are still raising prices and making changes to policy. But for some reason Xbox ultimate which offers something that no other gaming services do shouldn't be raising their prices?

These folks really in here defending this price hike

crazy work.

Just say it still works for you and leave it there.

Acting like everyone else should be happy with the price hike.

"well we we're getting a great deal before, they should be charging more" ass folks.

You keep saying things like cult members. I've been critical of Microsoft, I've been critical of Sony, I've been critical of Nintendo.

Nobody on this site has ever seen you be critical of anything Microsoft does. You are the definition of a cult member.

Netflix become the dominate force in streaming before the excessive price hikes. They used all sorts of tactics to reach that level including encouraging password sharing and loss leader prices.

When has Netflix ever gone from $15.99 to $30 in less than 2 years on a tier? That's damn near a doubling in price. It's indefensible.

I just quoted you clearly contradicting your own existence here.

You cult members have a weak hold on reality
