almost look like they photoshopped his head on somebody. I guess the best way to block aaron donald is to be built like him. hopefully breh can get and stay healthy
forgot about this.
More so for McNabb then Owens it seems, but all the rumors around that SB and the beef that came after is basically the defining moment of their careers
The difference was that for mcnabb he still had team success after this incident( where as TO really didn't). Even after blowing out his knee he came back and with an injured westbrook and with a rookie DeSean Jackson was able to play warners cardinals to damn near a draw in the NFC title game.
I would argue Mcnabbs career defining moment and was the epitome of how he was treated in Philly by the fans, media and the team was the benching in Baltimore. Where Andy really threw Mcnabb under the bus at half time. Kolb comes in throws pick after pick. Then Reed and Ray Lewis come out after the game saying Reid set Mcnabb up cause the eagles were running the same plays over and over again.
Reid gets heat in the national media and starts Mcnabb the next week on a Thursday night game vs the Cardinals and leads the eagles to a blow out win. The eagles would face the cardinals in the NFC championship that year.
As far as TO always remember that when he was traded to Philly he signed an extension. Folks around the league told him not to sign it because the eagles and the cheap ass owner lurie were known to be cheap and they would not renegotiate.
TO didn't want to listen and signed the extension thinking he would put up numbers that year and be able to renegotiate. He breaks his leg vs the cowboys and is ruled out the season. Now the word is TO believed that the eagles would tear up the contract and give him a new one because he came back early and performed on a broken leg in the superbowl.
The superbowl ends and TO still doesn't get his new contract. Which he blows up the next year about his contract.
TO just felt that by going at McNabb he could put pressure on Andy and Jeff. When that is asinine in itself. What black player then and even now could force a white owner to do anything in terms of giving up contracts? And this IMO is the punk move with TO and many of these players in the NFL who claim they are so big and bad. If you feel that you are wronged by the owner well call that white man out. Don't put it on your teammates.
See cause he wasn't gonna call Lurie out cause he knows the NFL ain't the NBA. His ass would have been out the league. All these players in the NFL are expendable...especially the black ones.
The big thing is TO agent fukked him in SF. He wanted to go to Philly cause he thought it could help him career wise. But then doubled down and signed a bad extension thinking that a known cheap organization would renegotiate. Which was silly cause Philly had proven with mcnabb that they didn't care if there was no talent on the offensive side. Just let mcnabb run around and make a play just like randall did years before. Then when he is old and broken down dump him and get another black QB to do the same...cough cough vick.
