Apparently Daboll is in the running to be the new head coach of the Chargers, too.

So that leaves Joe Brady, Duce Staley, Kellen Moore, Mike Kafka, Todd Bowles, and now Brandon Staley as the guys the Eagles have any reported interest in who are still available.

What other teams are in the running for a new HC? The Lions?

Really hoping we can get Brady or Moore…

Inside Carson Wentz’s turbulent season and the forces behind his regression

snippets that stood out to me
There was a disconnect even before Wentz was benched, though. Pederson would call a play only for his quarterback to occasionally kill it for no other reason than his personal distaste, sources said. It became “a pissing match” between the two, one of the sources said.
:hhh:

“He doesn’t understand that he lost games for us,” a veteran player said. “He will never admit that and that’s a problem because he can’t get it corrected.”
Who on the team said this?

In the quarterback room, when his errors were pointed out, Wentz would sometimes make irrelevant excuses and Taylor wouldn’t correct him. For instance, there would be a play when he didn’t throw to an open receiver. The read was drawn up as designed, the coverage played out as expected, and he would be asked why he didn’t pull the trigger.

And Wentz would say the look wasn’t there, or he would overemphasize the pass rush, and when it was suggested the play be run again in practice as to get it right, he would object.
Man, what the fukk.

At this point, I prefer Duce.
These past few years, the entire league been running behind getting a young offensive guru at the HC. I haven’t seen any of them win the super bowl yet :unimpressed:

These young, weird looking cacs ain’t the answer, especially for a rough city like Philly. It’s gonna take a tough skin MAN to run this shyt here

There’s a common denominator. The truth is already out there but people will find a way to spin this into it being somebody else’s fault.

Bruh in the press conferences after games this season he literally said multiple times that he’s gonna continue to play the same way

There are plenty of tough guy types like Duce in the NFL who’ve never won a Super Bowl either, a couple of them just got fired from their teams this year. And if that’s the route you want to take, then why not consider Jeff Stoutland? He’s a coach in the same mold as Duce, and he’s the one who is actually in charge of the run game in Philadelphia.

Guys like Moore or Brady have actual experience in running explosive, top-tier offenses in the NFL. Moore turned around a stale, Garrett/Linehan-run offense in Dallas and made it 2nd in the NFL in 2019. Would have been Top 5 again in 2020 if Dak didn’t get hurt. So if I’m looking for an offensive coach to turn around an offense that was 28th in the NFL, or to bring in a new offensive scheme, then I’m looking firstly for people who have experience running top-tier offenses. Moore, Brady, Riley, etc. have that. Duce doesn’t. It doesn’t mean Duce can’t do that, but I don’t know if that’s something I’m willing to bet on.
