Above the fray.
It goes both ways but the onus falls mostly on the man.

The man's supposed to be the leader, provider, primary thinker, etc. The selection process on his part is supposed to be on a higher caliber than an emotional women's. Especially considering the gender dynamics of America and various pitfalls for men.

If a woman is largely out of line and out of pocket, it's usually a reflection of the initial lack of male leadership and instruction and discernment on her father's part.
Not everybody is suited to be a leader. Look at the shuck and jive comment by the guy you quoted. He clearly doesn't see himself as any type of leader. Nor does anybody else.
It's like in sports, people look to certain position players to be leaders, but some aren't natural leaders nor do they want that responsibility.

I've come to feel the same way about gender roles and leadership. It's assumed that the man should lead, but some dudes are not fit to lead. When threads about parenting, etc come up, and you see dudes pointing fingers at women.....that's clearly not a man who sees himself as a leader of a household.

What’s in it for us to be mentors to some other man’s kids? Why isn’t their father their mentor?

I have no problem with mentorship, but Black men have their own lives to live and families to take care of. You can’t expect them to work at a not-great paying job, then have to be a mentor to 15 to 100 fatherless children. That will take its toll on any man.

You're completely right. These dudes just want to talk but not actually provide any tangible solutions or at the very least, give back to their community.
I think that everybody has a different amount of resources(time, money, experience). So we're not all in the same position in terms of being able to share those resources by mentoring AND take care of our own responsibilities.

That's why I suggested for dudes to try to help the way they can. Sometimes it means giving financial support to organizations that are helping these kids.

I think if rap/hip hop could go away, it could only help. Also if our women would close their legs and actually try to find an honorable husband type man in their youth before having children out of wedlock. A huge issue is the women basically fkc thugs, street dudes, pretty men, bi guys, ect, till they get older or have a kid 1st. They’re the main issue tbh.

With social media/YouTube etc

I want everyone to go on there now and tell me what type of black men you see

1. Rappers. 2. Athletes 3. Scam artist 4. Ex cons/gang members with podcast or sitting down doing interviews, where u see young black men and women looking at

How many podcast that does huge numbers where the brother is teaching u numbers/businesses outside of clothing , jewelry or rap, etc that you hear young blacks talking about??

In 2022/2023 if u a strong hard working black man working 9-5/3 to midnight and making a decent living you are considered a joke and someone these young nikkas today don’t want to listen to..

I understand that being a factor, but at this point, the focus is Black Men —> Black Boys.

Some kids will fall through the cracks due to their environment & parents, but those who are hanging on need a hand to get picked up

They see them because they’re the loudest. Maybe if we mentored Black Boys and showed them it’s a different path to success and a way of living.. they can see themselves in our shoes.

I’m tellin’ yall as a Gen Z breh, most of these dudes are confused. They are not confident in whatever they’re portraying. Most of them rather be what they truly want to be or something else.

All it takes is a breh who’s on he’s shyt and still personable to inspire him.
