Not everybody is suited to be a leader. Look at the shuck and jive comment by the guy you quoted. He clearly doesn't see himself as any type of leader. Nor does anybody else.It goes both ways but the onus falls mostly on the man.
The man's supposed to be the leader, provider, primary thinker, etc. The selection process on his part is supposed to be on a higher caliber than an emotional women's. Especially considering the gender dynamics of America and various pitfalls for men.
If a woman is largely out of line and out of pocket, it's usually a reflection of the initial lack of male leadership and instruction and discernment on her father's part.
It's like in sports, people look to certain position players to be leaders, but some aren't natural leaders nor do they want that responsibility.
I've come to feel the same way about gender roles and leadership. It's assumed that the man should lead, but some dudes are not fit to lead. When threads about parenting, etc come up, and you see dudes pointing fingers at women.....that's clearly not a man who sees himself as a leader of a household.
