Yea cause he hasn’t made a popular song since pretty much hip hop is dead. Obviously none of the new songs will be getting listened to like his classics.

Compared to Jay who had hits and was featured on for two decades plus.

Listen I think Hov’s goat argument has always been a little forced, mostly because he’s done such a good job selling himself and basically willed it into existence with how cocky he’s been his entire career. When you dig a little deeper it’s questionable if the entire body of work is worth that designation even if the talent is obvious

But I gotta draw the line at calling his shyt dated.. you would then agree Timbaland, Neptunes, Premier, Just Blaze/Kanye’s earliest styles etc are dated :childplease:

Let’s be real. If anything his own lyrics are more dated

Dated and "aged horribly" are the most misused terms on here. People not only erroneously use them interchangeably, but act like something can't be "dated" and timeless at the same time. Out of OutKast's entire catalog, their debut is the most dated. Why? G-Funk is no longer popular and it doesn't sound as modern as their later albums. It is still a timeless classic.

Its modern artists sampling Timbaland productions without changing much.

i remember when Jay fans we're going hard at Nas for having "Boring beats" or not up to par when in reality the God was rhyming to be TIMELESS, not to be stuck in a certain TIME! and we tried explaining to these hov stans that wave riding is the type to bite ya in the a$$ in the long run cuz most of that music would sound stale years later. Hov got a few classics and RD will always be one of them, but man this should be a lesson to most that riding a wave and trying to do what everyone else does will pigeonhold you and end up making your catalog look outdated af :wow:
