This. You couldn’t pay me to listen to Jay-Z.Truth is nobody is still listening to JayZ music like that. Not even his stans. And I'm not saying that to deny his greatness in anyway but it's the truth.
Agreed.Jay is a washed up relic from the 90’s if it wasn’t for Beyoncé and Kanye![]()
Jay the only legacy artist with greatest hits albums? Why is this phenomenon not happening with the others??
Looking at that list it's obvious. Ppl who are listening are going straight to his greatest hits album instead of to his albums. That gets over 1 million streams daily, 2nd only to Watch The Throne for him.
None of that dumb shyt y'all posted like his stuff not aging well or it doesn't connect is correct. Jay has a verse for literally any and every situation you can think of. I do think he should do something to reintroduce his back catalog to a newer audience. He has the hits and deep cuts to do it.

his music been back on all platforms since like 2018/19, and these are weekly #’s. Not sure how the tidal move would be affecting today, especially with his peers getting more streams. That would mean people interested in artists from that era are on streamingalso the tidal thing meant that most of his fanbase is listening to Hov's music not on streaming.
There's no nah about it. Jay's greatest hits is right below WTT for daily streams and then Blueprint 3 soon after. Those have the daily streams and more overall streams for him and those are the projects ppl ARE listening to not his older catalog as much.Nah. The site charts streaming totals by song. So if you look at the artists daily streams by album, the totals show up under both the original album and greatest hits
Pac Greatest Hits daily streams last week was 2,589,417, AEOM was 1,541,731
