After the game Barkley was going in on tony parker saying he a hall of famer and gotta play better. I was waiting for them to mention Duncan like :lupe:. They low key probably forgot Duncan was even playing

As far as this Kobe vs duncan shyt, cmon

Kobe basically destroyed his franchise by taking the max while being injured and :flabbynsick:. The lakers legit couldn't attract good free agents cause his rep is trash and superstars are like :whoa: at them lakers recruiting presentations
Duncan took a pay cut allowing the Spurs to keep and develop young talent like Killa Kaw and offer Max's to dudes who just dropped 40 for them like basset hound Aldridge , a player who told Kobe :camby:after his wack ass recruiting effort. Duncan literally got nikkas taking 10 million dollar pay cuts to BACK HIM UP :umad:

Oh and Duncan parents still talk to him, his mom got a fresh mansion in the Virgin Islands, ain't no memorabilia sells for food going on over there :umad:

It'll get swept under the rug as per usual :yeshrug:

If 40 year old Kobe or Bron dropped 2 points in the playoffs the media would be crucifying them

100% this

Duncan has pretty much never been criticized for anything ever...he's been something nearing a role player for the better part of a decade and still gets 100% of the credit for all success the spurs have ...whereas the spurs losing has zero impact or blowback at all...he's not held to the same standard that Kobe and Bron are where no matter what they've accomplished in all time great careers, every season that doesn't end I. A championship is held against them as a failure that counts against them. ..imagine if Lebron or kobe was on a 60 plus win top seeded team that lost to a 8th seed like the spurs did in 2011

I could argue this shyt all day and please remember I am a huge Kobe fan and a Laker fan since the '90's.

Kobe played a huge part in this team being where it is. He should have retired after the first injury.

Back when they got Gasol, players would come play with him because there was a very good chance you'd compete for a title, but after that it was a wrap. Dwight Howard is a bytch but he bounced because he couldn't be the focal point of the team and this was told to him by not just Kobe and coaches but management also.

After that shyt happened there was no way in hell that we'd get another big news free agent. Kobe basically did what A.I. did when he went to Denver and refused to reduce his role for that team.

Kobe is a top 10 player, could be argued as the GOAT, I won't take that away from him. He may have taught players to not give up ect and have a killer instinct but he could have done that as a coach.

Did he have the squad around him that Duncan has...no he didn't but that's more because of him than that front office...I'm just saying

Yeah I have to call bullshyt times a thousand on this entire post but ESPECIALLY the bolded.. the last 2 seasons the Lakers have been consciously tanking and there wasn't a big time free agent available that would've put them anywhere near the type of team the spurs have built "around " Duncan at the moment. ..the last shot the Lakers had at retooling the team and continuing to contend as kobe left his prime crashed and burned when that disgraceful farce that was "basketball reasons" snatched away cp3 from the team...then the front office took a piss on that burning wreckage by hiring d'antoni and signing the ghost of Steve Nash...Kobe not retiring after the Achilles injury did nothing but accelerate what people seem to not want to recognize as an obvious tank rebuild job....signing 30 year old melo or dwight or aldridge wouldn't have put this roster anywhere near Spurs level :mjlol:...

I know this thread is for trolls, but watching the game it doesn't appear he belongs out there.

And I'm not sure the comparison of the late years of Kobe and Duncan are comparable, because while one has had to try and carry a franchise in old age and broken down body without a supporting cast, the other has been able to be a role player for at least the last 5 years(if not longer) on a good-great team with a HOF coach.
