You know what, Dominicans, like other immigrant groups from around the world with African ancestry or directly from Africa, don't want to be associated with black americans. The reasons may be wrong and ignorant, but it is what it is. "black" is the term used mostly for African American. So black Dominicans don't want to be called black. It does not mean we our denying our African roots.

I'm sorry that you over sensitive militants feel some type of way about that, but suck it up and work on fixing your image to the world. Don't be out there supporting drill rap and buying Lil boosie cds and then getting mad at other members of the African diaspora for not wanting to associate themselves with AAs.

I have asked this before, and I will asked this again. Why AAs are so obsessed with telling Dominicans...hell even all the Blacks in the Diaspora...what they should be identifying as? and Also, why are you always mad at everyone? the Middle Eastern, Africans, Asians...always whining, complaining and bellowing about other cultures (WHHYYY??). In the real world, no one is checking on what AAs identification or what jobs you are taking or what community you are taking over, etc. (okay, White people are) So, I don't understand why you are so invested and this topic is always bring comes up in Black forums. Another forum that like this is lipstickalley

Is it because you were born into a country that you never felt comfortable in? and this is an honest question. Because in the rest of the world, nationalism, ethnic groups and religion >>>>>. When I think about the Dominican Republic is like I was meant to be from there and I wouldn't have it any other way; with ALL the country and its peoples flaws (which constantly pisses me off) and ALL the beautiful things.

And I have said this before and I'll say it again. Please worry about your own. Look at the AA household in the U.S. your women are running the show, providing and building the community while you in here complaining, being mad and
