He's put up 20/5/5 on good percentages the last couple seasons with some clutch moments. The team is in no place to sign someone like him to a huge deal, especially if we're going to be giving Giddey a big deal this summer.

We sign Coby into that deal we essentially lock ourselves into the roster. Only thing that could progress the team forward is striking gold in the draft a place we keep striking out at. Going to need matas to turn into a special player

I don't agree with this. Coby's numbers post deadline were comparable to Zach's outside of their shooting percentages
Coby creates better off the dribble, is better at getting to the line. Zach is a better shooter (one of the best in the NBA), but I can't go for that statement that Coby is not close... that's CAP.
LaVine on the Bulls this season through 42 games:
24PPG/4.8REB/4.5AST on 51.1/45/80 splits
Coby through the last 29 games without LaVine on the roster:
23.3PPG/4.2REB/4.2AST on 47.7/36.1/91 splits

Jalen Suggs- 5 yrs 150. Immanuel Quickley- 5 yrs 175. I get that Giddey isn't the same defender. But his playmaking and rebounding are more than enough. 14,8 and 7 should get him $30 million per year
At least Suggs is playing next to Paolo and Wagner. Paolo can be at the elite level and Wagner is a great player, worst case scenario trade bait for another top 10-15 player to pair with Paolo. So he's a complement to two foundational pieces.
We don't have that here.
