He's put up 20/5/5 on good percentages the last couple seasons with some clutch moments. The team is in no place to sign someone like him to a huge deal, especially if we're going to be giving Giddey a big deal this summer.

Mismanagement of assets. Again, Coby showed he's capable of being a lead guard for the franchise, but year over year they've slighted him by bringing FAs or other players that impact his role.

In 2023, Bulls fans were really asking if Coby would be coming off the bench behind Jevon Carter. After solidifying his spot and finishing 2nd in MIP votes, they trade for Giddey.

Just completely unnecessary IMO and creates the scenario where they lose Coby because they commit to Giddey. They wouldn't be in this situation if they just let Coby do his thing and got PICKS for Caruso instead of a player like Giddey that they had to pay immediately after getting him.

the bulls are already set to lose coby no matter what simply because he signed that cheap contract a few years ago, and the bulls can only offer him 140% more, which won't be anywhere close to what he could get on the open market.

I doubt he takes another discount contract at this point in his career, so likely they will have to trade him before the deadline in 2026.

Jalen Suggs- 5 yrs 150. Immanuel Quickley- 5 yrs 175. I get that Giddey isn't the same defender. But his playmaking and rebounding are more than enough. 14,8 and 7 should get him $30 million per year

the raptors already know that quickley deal was a massive overpay.

This is the Bulls way. Wait until the value gets low then trade the asset. He's going to be 35 years old on an expiring contract, teams would've given more if they could've had him for this playoff run plus another season.
