I don't agree with AK. I'm just reading the tea leaves and this is what his vision is. The quote about having 8 to 9 good players, continuity, the success of the Pacers right now building from the middle etc...

He's banking on Giddey being their star and Matas being that dynamic wing like Siakam. Can't miss on any picks moving like this. Extremely hard to get better without extra bites at the apple in the draft.

I'd also say the Pacers are doing this because they have one of the best coaches in the league. Billy Donovan is not on Carlisle level.

You can’t replicate the Pacers when you consistently move assets when they’re at their lowest value.
