I see you named a bunch of Xbox classics that were offered for free to xbox live users PERMENANTLY, but failed to mention the plethora of shytty PSN plus games that were TEMPORARILY given to PSN+ users. You just typed a bunch on nonsensical garbage, as usual.
Bunch of xbox classics?? You mean the two games Halo 3/Gears 1?? that's kind of stretching it to call it a bunch :ld:. Also you're usage of "temporarily" for the PS+ offerings is incorrect. Once a title is up for download, you can download it and it will be in your downloads list permanently. If I wanted for example Bioshock Infinite(A game that's less than a year old btw) from PS+, I can simply add it to my downloads list through the PS web store or via the PS3 itself and the game will forever be available to me as long as I can sign online. Again couple that with a year of PS+ or more and I can rack up a gang of games without ever cutting on the PS3/PS4/Vita. I think me and you have different definitions of "nonsensical" right now and I think you erred in your definition.

Well get a better internet provider. You argue in favor for an always online system in place for consoles but yet have such a slow internet connection that it takes upwards of up to 2 days to download??(I know it's an exaggeration but yea..) Also not every game is freaking 40gb man lol.
I'm not the only one using the Internet. I have a family I had to kick everybody off the Internet when I was downloading the titnfall beta:russ:

You probably can't share/trade digital games on consoles right now explicitly, but on Steam the family sharing beta allows up to 10 devices to be authorized enabling sharing of the main accounts library. If anything is wrong with the setup for consoles it's the pricing. I have no qualms buying games on Steam since they're usually much cheaper and I have the benefit of buying games from different marketplaces. On Xbox I can only buy games through Microsoft. At least on Sony's end they partnered up with Amazon to provide a digital store front which was great as there were games with big discounts sold on Amazon digitally that weren't discounted on the PS Store.

Like I said earlier you have to start somwhere, steam didnt have such deep discounts on day 1 either. With the plan as they announced it there was plenty of ways to save money on games, and I think the store would have continued to get better over time.

Meech is spamming the board at a ridiculous rate with this bullshyt. It honestly needs to be stopped. :camby:

As it's been pointed out numerous times already, if someone wants to buy all their games digitally, nothing is stopping them from doing so on either system. M$ just wanted to cut your options of obtaining games down to one.

As a side note to this, if one of the companies was going to do an all-digital system, Sony would have had MUCH better grounds of implementing it. PS+ has been fantastic for years with discounts and free games. FAR beyond what M$ has been offering on XBox Live.
Some cats on here act like it's blasphemous to not paint Sony with the same brush Microsoft has been painted with. As evidenced from the years of offerings PS+ has given it's consumers, I'd agree that they would be on the right track towards an all digital system. The Amazon web store was a big step in the right direction. Again it's not perfect but then again anything said about Sony on here in the positive light will be seen by others as you proclaiming their philosophy is perfect.

What kind of internet do you have?? :lupe:
The thought of kicking someone off the internet has never occurred to me and I have multiple users of the internet in my household. I have Comcast Xfinity and the speeds are more than enough for me. I get 30ish mbps down/10mbps up and with all the downloading I do via my PC, my brother's PC and my cousins it hasn't even occurred to me that a bandwith cap was in place. I never had any trouble on that end as speeds are always blazing fast. I download games with ease on Steam. I scoff at the GB's I see when a new game is out on Steam as it downloads so fast that i don't even notice it. 2 hours for maybe a 25GB game?? That's good for me.

As for Steam not having deep discounts day 1, I wasn't around when it first launched so I don't know how it was but all I can say is that was yesterday, Microsoft is today. You already have a competitor doing these things so if you wanted to go that route, do something AS GOOD or BETTER! They didn't convey that they were going to allow multiple ways to cop games, offer deep discounts and savings and/or other benefits. Their message seemed covetous and that smelled to the consumer. They should've came out the gate guns blazing but instead they came out and spoke about TV and always online with more info trickled out by incessant pestering by concerned consumers and the nebulous responses they gave that could mainly be understood by astute gamers is not whats up.

Nobody said that.

If sony had gone with their own all digital or hybrid plan then we really would have has two vastly different systems and the competition would have been great for everyone involved. The digital movement would be ongoing and improving everyday. But as it stands we got two very similar machines and the same old stuff for the next 7-10 years.

The issue here was that Microsoft's plan seemed to benefit them more so than the consumer. What's the point in trying to be different if it has no perceptible benefit? The pros of their plan didn't seem to offset the cons . The scale wasn't tipped favorably for the buyers. As for the "two very similar machines" point, nah :skip:. The Xbox One from the accounts of the Xbox fans over the internet talk a different story of how the Xbox One is vastly different.

Everybody doesn't have access to blazing fast Internet.

I have att uverse, and it slows to a crawl when you try to download a game, while downloading torrents, watching Netflix, watching youtube, and surfing the coli.

And it's no doubt that Microsoft messed up the messaging. I'm just talking about what could have been.

Think about how many games/dvd's you owned over the last 7 years. That you don't have access to now. You would no longer have to keep up with discs. Your right to own that content will always be held digitally, and you can access your content wherever you go.
I got access to all my stuff...if I have the ability to upload em

Again, I company was able to take my video because of DRM

I know DD is comin, but, im in no rush

Microsoft didn't get any extra money from the drm. It was devs that stood to make the extra money.
