also you can't discount the benefit of playing with a player like Kobe. with the amount of attention he'll draw, Randle will have alot of open 18 foot jumpers. if he can become automatic on that, he'll be a beast.

we need to get a rim protector like DeAndre Jordan beside him though. he'll never be more than a mediocre man defender and poor rim protector. like blake griffin.
back already...:sas2:

randle can easily average 15ppg 13ppg out west because of the paste and a lot of big men out west defense isn't that great

lakers should forget about melo or lebron that's not happening.. look at lowery first, bring back swaggy who said he'll take a pay cut, look at trevor ariza for the right price, greg monroe is questionable move which i'm hearing today they will be pursuing him i'm 30/70 on that move, cause his points come on putbacks and fastbreaks

give byron a good point guard we'll be good to go

i knew randle all along was the pick, but this team needs players.. i defiantly need 2 more big men, at least 3 more guards with quickness and a shooter at small forward

fukk it we everybody and they mama
They can find most of that from last year's roster. Hill, Gasol, Kaman for bigs, Farmar, Henry, Johnson, Bazemore, Young, Meeks and Brooks for guards. LA was loaded with role players, they just didn't have any star players to carry the load and show the way.

I disagree. Melo would be a beautiful fit with this team and they'd be really physical with him at 3 and Randle at the 4. Melo averaged 9 boards a game last year basically playing by himself. Imagine him playing next to a bruiser like Randle.

i agree with that.. but i wish this team can unload nash contract, if that means giving up next years' number 1 draft pick for a couple of players

They don't have a #1 next year. I think they're gonna use the stretch provision on him. I can't imagine Nash being on that roster when training camp begins.

Randle is projected to be at around 13 rebounds in the nba so the Terrence Jones comparison doesn't make any sense.
And Wiggins is projected to be the next T-Mac. How the fukk can you project how many rebounds someone will average in a league they've never played in?

:what: You doing player comparisons while I was talking about stats. Randles size and motor is nothing like Terrence Jones.

Can't wait to watch the rim consistently block this niccas lay-ups, leading to constant Kobe death stares. We did it Mitch :blessed:

i think there is two scenarios for the Lakers from here on out...

Swing for the fences scenario:

-Trade Nash and Future 1st Round Pick to free $30 Million in Cap Space
-Convince and Sign LeBron and Carmelo for $15 Million a piece. Thats about the most we can offer them AND Keep Randle.
-Re-Sign Jodie Meeks with $2.7 Million exception
-Fill Out Roster with Minimum Contracts (Farmar, Marshall, Kelly, etc)

Would definitely be in the need for some bigs with that type of offseason

Build a team Scenario:

-Trade Nash and Future 1st Round Pick to free $30 Million in Cap Space
-Resign Pau Gasol for $8Million Per Year for 3 Years, 3rd year team option
-Sign Luol Deng for $10 Million Per Year For 3 Years
-Sign Isaiah Thomas for $8 Million Per Year For 3 Years or Kyle Lowry -- Not a big fan of his age
-Re-Sign Jodie Meeks with $2.7 Million exception for 2 Years
-Re-Sign Nick Young for $3 Million Per Year for 2 Years

-Fill Out Roster with Minimum Contracts (Farmar, Marshall, Kelly, etc)

Either way with a Core of Kobe and Randle.... the Lakers atleast have a chance to compete with some additional pieces that can be added with the $30 Million or so in cap space. I do suspect atleast one of the guys we pick up for summer league will be a stud and find his way on the squad.
