I wouldnt go that far. I think Scott is alot better than both. but Im only interested in Scott cause its reported him and Kobe might work out some player/coach type scheme

Whats so impressive about going to back 2 back finals in 02 and 03? The Eastern Conference was at its worst. That's like bringing up Mike Brown going to the finals in 07 with the Cavs to prove that he was a great coach.Get the fukk outta here. I give all the credit to Jason Kidd for those Finals appearances anyway. The nets had the same roster in 2001 and didn't even the make playoffs. The only difference was they traded Marbury for Kidd.
I guess Scott had nothing to do with NO playing over their heads when James Posey was their third best player, too?
How'd the Nets do once Kidd pushed Scott out for his boy Lawrence Frank? We've clearly seen Kidd's true colors by this point.
I just hope they don't try to make him a 3 and let him play his natural position.

The year the Hornets had James Posey they won 49 games and he wasn't their 3rd best player.
Chandler, David West and Chris Paul were clearly better and you can arguments for Peja and Butler being better as well.
The Eastern conference wasn't the same in 04 or 05 as it was in 02 and 03. The Pistons, Pacers, and Heat emerged out East. Those 3 teams were better than any Eastern team the Nets faced in 02 or 03.
The Nets promoted Laurence Frank as head coach mid season after Byron Scott led the team to a 22-20 record. Under Frank they went 25-15 and lost to the Pistons in 7 games in the second round. The same Pistons teams that beat the Lakers in 5 to win the championship.
Kenyon Martin was traded to the Nuggets in 04.
Another important fact Laurence Frank didn't coach a prime Jason Kidd. Kidd wasn't the same player after he had microscopic surgery on his knee in 04.
So Frank didn't coach the same teams Scott did either.

His best pitch was "I'm friends with kobe, we understand each other". Why the fukk do you have to worry about Kobe if you are going to be the next head coach?? We even interviewed Dunleavy. And why do we even have to hire Byron Scott. Why dont we extend the process and see if we can find a coach like Hornacek out there??Back to kobe. Again I dont fault him for taking that contract. But how the fukk do you not wait to see how Kobe comes back from injury to offer him a contract? They took the Spurs to 7 in their first playoff run in '08. That's pretty damn good. Then Peja fell off and Chandler couldn't stay on the court.
Hollins makes the conference finals once and gets swept and you guys are in here talking like we missed out on Red Auerbach.

At this point Hollins is a better coach than B Scott but is he the better fit?? Don't really know...Laker fans are probably going to be disappointed with whomever the FO hires. Just no to Mike Dunleavy Please!!
