if they dont find a way to trade for love, draft mcdourmett or trade the pick

I don't want non of these projects. gimme a guy that's gonna play 12 years and always be a good shooter and rebounder.

Lakers won't make the trade unless they get assurance that Love will sign a 5 year extension

they shouldn't trade for him at all, you know Minnesota is going to hold on to him... just wait a year

and besides the Lakers never have lottery picks and they've hit on their last two (Eddie Jones and Bynum)

Hit on the next one, you potentially have a guy who will be part of your future post-Kobe

McDermott over Julius Randle, Marcus Smart, and Vonleh? hell no

Randle can average 16 and 9 RIGHT NOW. Smart is physically ready for the league, will make a defensive impact immediately. And Vonleh isnt as big of a project as people think. He put up 10 and 9 in 25 minutes last year. Thats no joke, dude could average a double/double next year. McDermott will be good, but doesnt have that all-star potential the others guy have. Smart, Randle, Vonleh could all be all-stars. Aaron Gordon could be a 1st team all defense dude.

I assumed randle would be gone, but Im not sold on him. that 16-9 is a stretch...unlike him.

and I don't think any of those other guys are all-stars which is why I'd take the most dependable guy or trade the pick.

you're not winning the title next year

you take the guys with the higher ceiling and let them grow

Now....let's get back to #LWO business and quit all the bytching brehs:ufdup:

We already KNEW we werent getting the #1 pick, me and @GreatestLaker went back and forth yesterday and kept coming up with the #6 or #7 pick the most times.......so it was most likely to happen with how the odds were.

I do NOT want to be a horrible team again next year:to:

I would prefer us drafting Marcus Smart

Going out and resigning Jordan Hill, Nick Young, Jodie Meeks, and Chris Kaman.

And then bringing in Luol Deng, Greg Monroe, and either Maricin Gortat/Spencer Hawes/Emeka Okafor/Dejaun Blair/Kris Humphries as more big man help.

Our lineup could possibly be:

C Greg Monroe
PF Jordan Hill
SF Luol Deng
SG Kobe Bryant
PG Marcus Smart

Bench PGs: Steve Nash & Kendall Marshall........GREAT distributers and leaders. Also both very good 3pt shooters.

Bench Wings: Nick Young & Jodie Meeks.....scoring and very good 3pt shooting from both of them. BOTH scored over 40 points last season showing they can hold the scoring load off the bench

Bench Bigs: Chris Kaman, Emeka Okafor, & Kris Humphries......scoring from Kaman and defense and rebounding with Okafor and Humphries

I personally dont think that's a bad roster:manny:

Greg Monroe is horrible defensively and i mean HORRIBLE. He might be worse than Pau.

I rather us sign Stephenson and bring in Okafor or Bynum and Boozer for a year.

Okafor/Cacre
Boozer/Hill
Kobe/Young
Stephenson/Bazegawd
Smart/Marshall

I like this too:manny:

Im just tired of people complaining, like come on brehs:ufdup:

We have NEVER had the #1 overall pick before in a lottery format and we've still gotten back to the top regardless:yeshrug:

In your set up, I would still add another BIG to the team by probably bringing back Chris Kaman or bringing in Spencer Hawes so that we have at least 1 legit 7 footer that score offensively while having Nash tutoring Marcus Smart on how to be a professional
