you're not winning the title next year

you take the guys with the higher ceiling and let them grow
ceiling guys get gms fired every year.

the rest of those scenarios suck also. lance is getting paid. I pray to god its not by us. he's never gonna be disciplined enough to depend on and w/ kobe on the way out, I don't want him as our leader. backOfor? Bynum? boozer? I'd rather spend that money on lottery tickets...bad choice of words, today...

Lakers are in decent shape. They get one of Gordon/Smart/Vonleh/Randle. They just need to make sure they pick the right dude. Then spend the free agency money wisely. If Kobe comes back 100% looking like 2013 Kobe pre-achilles, ya'll will be back.

im thinking really hard about Gordon too. I love players with high motors and high IQ's. Its usually a great combo, think Kawhi Leonard. Gordon could contribute defense and athleticism immediately. Solid finisher. Great passer for his position. He's not a #1 or maybe not even a 2 dude, but could be a great piece for the future.

Im thinking more like prime Shawn Marion pt 2 for Aaron Gordon's ceiling:manny:

you need coaching breh, you take one of these kids and you develop them

Kobe wasn't a finished product overnight, you need to draft them and be patient. Obviously its not a sure thing but you gotta give it a chance.

A lot of you Lakers fans are new to this but you gotta look at the situation. Your franchise has no assets, you have an aging star who has a couple years left, your roster has no one on it. You need to swing and take someone who can be a core piece. If you hit on a lottery pick, its a GOOD thing. Even if it will take some time.

Don't interview anyone with the name mike. I wouldn't interview Tom Thibodeau if his name was Mike Thibodeau.
