Washington gave up way too much to get him. They gave up a draft pick ands swallowed a bad contract for it. Doubt they'd let him go after just one year after all they gave up

It'd be a disaster. They panicked when Emeka Okafor got injured and traded the 2014 1st for him

No way they let him go without a fight. Wizards staff flew to Poland yesterday to meet with Gortat and help him with his basketball camp as well out there.

Emeka Okafor is recovered might make sense for the Lakers with a re-signed Gasol.

I'd like the Wizards to bring him back at the minimum...

anybody that wants to sign with us. rather that be a max free agent or a few b-level guys we have the cap room to make it happen. we cant go out and sign 2 max players, but thats understandable. you shouldnt have 3 max contracts on a roster anyway.
not saying u should have 3

but it makes it harder to go out and get mid lvl guys

Brolic... Alcoholics
What about Oden though?:mjpls: y'all was hyping that bum like he was the 2nd coming of Kareem:heh:

I knew he would never see the floor again when Roy Hoebert did a spin to the baseline and hit his ass with an up and under.

Dem knees are Kyle Broflovski status.

If they land Melo, they're gonna be in the thick of things in the west. I think Kobe has more left in the tank than we know.

You gonna tell me a team with a starting five of Farmar, Kobe, Melo, Randle and Gasol with Young, Hill, Henry, Kaman, Johnson off the bench isn't a competitive squad? That team has size and athletes all over the place that could matchup with anyone.

Lakers
If they (Los Angeles Lakers) are unable to land (Carmelo) Anthony or (LeBron) James, the Lakers are also expected to have a strong interest in Washington free-agent forward Trevor Ariza, Raptors guard Kyle Lowry, Detroit center Greg Monroe and Phoenix forward Channing Frye, according to sources.

Pau really does not want to leave. I can see him taking reduced salary to stay in LA. 30mpg at center in today's league wouldn't be too difficult for him.

Only thing LA would really be missing is a rim protector.
