Byron Scott or Hollins it really doesn't matter we're going to get the same results with both. At least both are serviceable something we haven't had in 4 years. We need to be focused on getting talent

So there's a poster on LG who goes by "X" who was on top of things during the Dwight trade and other the breaking news stuff saying he's 85-90% sure Melo going to LA. Apparently he works for AEG. :scheme:
the latest from him...

-As far as why Melo would come here when Chicago has Rose, Noah and Thibs , Houston has Dwight & Harden, and Dallas has Dirk and Cuban... The answer is Kobe. He's the reason. From what I understand, everybody including me blasts him for taking that cap killing contract. But in Kobe's eyes, he saw that even with him taking that much they'd still have room to squeeze in another max guy. Namely Carmelo. Bryant has loved the thought of playing with him, and the feeling is mutual. They respect each other greatly, and Kobe sees fire in Carmelo and wants him to go to battle with him.

-Now whether it would actually translate on court remains to be seen, as well as if Kobe can hold up physically at his current age. There's of course unknowns to it. But the basic want and willingness from the both of them is pretty strong. They think it can work, and Kobe has relayed that directly to Jim Buss, that I do know.

-Regarding cap money left over and so forth, I don't know that. I do know that if they can land Anthony they definitely want Pau back. Haven't heard about point guard options. But obviously this is the big thing they wanna clear first. And if by some chance they didn't get Carmelo, then fallback options would be put in motion.

-Sure things can change. Houston can wow him, Chicago can dazzle him, Dallas can promise him the moon. Hey people have a change of heart every now and again. But as of right now, this minute, I'm hearing Carmelo Anthony will almost certainly be a Laker.

I just dont see him picking us over Chicago. they have better pieces as of now. maybe he/LALA likes LA

And they have to get rid of a lot of them to sign Melo. There won't be any depth left if they make the moves to sign Melo.

yea thats true. I forgot they still dont have the cap room. gotta amnesty Boozer then make a few trades. they still have a better coach then we will and an easier conference.

Mitch just said on the Dan Patrick show that Joel Embiid was on the top of his draft list and would have drafted him at 7th if would've dropped down to them. Exum, Marcus Smart and Doug McDermott were also in the running.

If we land melo we gotta steal Gortat from the Wizkidz on an affordable rate. Get Lowry on the cheap and re-sign the good bench players and Kobe got his farewell squad that loses in the 2016 NBA finals to Miami Heat. :sas2:

So if we do Land Melo, do we have Randle play the back up minutes to Melo since he does his most damage at the 4 position?

Am I the only one that wouldnt mind having Kendall Marshall at point again next year?:lupe:

He's a great passer and distributer....he'd definitely keep everybody on the court happy, because he's a pass first PG with a very good 3 point shot.

No:scusthov:

I dont even like discussing hypotheticals about big time FAs, but you would start Randle at the 4 and put Melo back at the 3.

Melo cant guard the PFs in the West:manny:
