The Lakers were on a short list of teams that CP3 and Dwight wanted to be traded to. So the Lakers had a huge advantage there. Why do you always ignore that? Mitch wasn't competing against the other 29 teams for those players. He was competing against 3 at most.

Bynum wasn't injured during the season. He was coming off an all-star season where he averaged 19/12/2 at age 24.
