Yea this is a masterpiece.

Hands down.

The concept, the execution, heavy on the execution.

This is as good as the shining, I’m deadass too. 10/10.

Giving very little as possible, there is an overarching goal of finding the kids & you see multiple pov’s as well as tones specific to said povs that enhance towards the plot. It understood comedic timing so fukking well without over relying on comedy, then jumping immediately into suspense. This was impeccable writing. I’m speechless.

I just got back. 9/10. This movie was fukking fire. Saw it in IMAX. The end of this movie :banderas:

-when Alex's mom came creeping out of the house to cut Justine's hair was so creepy. :pachaha:
-Marcus (Wong from Dr. Strange) had the creepiest look when he was doing the Naruto run.
-when the stampede happened at the end, my whole theater was:laff::laff::laff:
-Gladys heard that twig snap and she was like
giphy.gif

-the interactions between the cop and the junkie was comedy
-Justin Long cameo

-what the fukk was Gladys doing creeping around in the woods, when the junkie saw her? was she taking a shyt? :dead:

Interesting, people in my theater were laughing at certain parts.

When Josh Brolin's character kept hitting and throwing the druggie around and he kept getting up.
Yea my audience was laughing at that joint as well. There were a few parts that prompted reactions, which I liked

I caught it today at a random 2:17pm showing, which had a fair amount of folks in it, so that’s a good indication people actually wanna check this out

My teen thought it was “okay” but I liked it. The third act is wild as hell, almost had to be due to the slow buildup. The multiple characters perspectives angle I actually appreciated.

Alright, I'm gonna hype this one up. I saw it Monday before the review embargo at a special screening, and I'm telling you-it's a 9/10 overall. For most of it, it plays like a 10/10. Just a really great movie. Honestly, one of the best modern horror films I've seen. Maybe the best, period. I never really counted Get Out as a true horror movie, but I can't think of anything better than this off the top of my head. I'll probably rewatch it Sunday once I'm back in town and see how it holds up.

What's crazy is I expected this to be trash. I thought it'd be like the 2025 version of Trap a cool premise, August release, but ultimately a letdown. That's what I assumed. Plus, I didn't even like The Barbarian, so my expectations were low. But this? Way, way better.
Hated Barbarian?? BETTER than Barbarian?? Sold me. IN:mjlit:

As good as the shining huh? :patrice: idk I didn't like the shining.

I wanna see this but kinda feels like one of those too good to be true shyt. I remember Barbarian getting hype like this and that was mid tier at best.
